Granted, I know they aren't the same, and there's no competition for lumberjack anymore, but I solo'd LJ on bst one time with a courier carrie jug, it raped the dog crap out of it, and barely took any damage. I would love to see a bst camp this like bst/war or something and kill it in front of everyone :3

I did read the thread. My question wasn't answered. I'll give you a hint, the word "Consistently" is important.

doesn't help. Despite first using the term "multiple", you then give away in your next statement that you really meant to say "two". You also don't mention how close the fights were, or if you've had any failed attempts. My question wasn't asking if a RDM or BLU COULD solo it. That much is obvious. My question was basically if it's an easy fight or one that would require a lot of planning and/or experience with this particular mob. What someone can solo, and what they can kill consistently are two different things. You don't tell some new-to-75 RDM that he can go to sky and solo Suzaku with no problems.

Any other comments in this thread thus far involving a RDM soloing him are inconclusive as they do not divulge the outcome of the fight, which is what I am primarily interested in.

I do appreciate the later comment about BLU with good MP management having a good chance.

I only tried BLU solo* once (*used NPC), and I ended up raging him when he was around 10-20% just because I was stupid and didn't bring yagudo drinks. With enough MP there's no doubt it could be done, and probably without NPC, too.

I'm intrigued. What gear/spells do you use Suiram? ffxiah.com is down for me so I can't view your gear sets if they are there.

I don't have gear sets on FFXIAH, but I didn't use any special gear other than my TP/WS/Physical gear I'd use in merits. Likewise, I set regular spells, but with a couple modifications; I had cannonball set for claim, sprout smack because it's a cheap semi-decent slow, roar to overwrite scissor guard (usually set anyway), sandspray just to try out (had a very noticeable impact on accuracy but doesn't last long and sucks a lot of MP), and the rest typical DD+trait spells. Like I said above, I rushed there without bringing any yags or meds, but considering over half the fight I had basically run out of MP, I feel confident that with the drinks I could have pumped out enough damage with physical spells to kill before rage.

There's more to the story, actually. About halfway through, when I realized that I wasn't going to kill it in time, I asked for assistance in LS and two people got there around 20% and helped buff/nuke from the other side of the rock. A couple minutes later at 10% it raged, killed me, and chased after them to the main area of Jugner. They ran to OP and died, another BLM friend who had just ported tagged it when it was hate-free and kited it around Jugner while they raised up and I warped and OPed back. We killed it and I got belt, which is why I've never tried to solo it again lol So all I can really go by is that it it felt like I was close enough that with the refresh from yags I could put out enough damage in time to kill it, but I can't say it with the authority of having actually pulled it off.

took about 15 mins give or take a few? i didn't time it exactly. I could have done it w/o NPC i just grabbed her to soak up some waterga dmg tbh, and for koki

Pretty much swap the merman's for ethereal though. I used it mainly with dodge up and eva w/o dodge up but when i called my npc i just fulltimed the dd gear.
