The Last Remnant Demo and Benchmark

I get this error message when I attempt to run either the Demo or Benchmark for The Last Remnant.

I can't imagine that I'm actually supposed to have a disk for either of these... anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening?

EDIT: No error when I put in a random disk, but the trial also did not run.

Weird, just got done playing it myself and haven't gotten an error at all.

    Are you running from Steam?

Well, only thing I could suggest is reinstalling it, but it shouldn't ask for a disk at all.

Just tried that a moment ago with no success... so the demo is available on Steam?
Guess I'll finally have to sign up for that and try it that way, been wanting to try this game for quite some time.

    Yeah, demo is on Steam.

I also don't reccomend running it above 1280 x 720, doesn't take up full screen past that. Well, at least it didn't for me at 1650 x 1080.
