It's time's like this that make me remember why I started to hate FFXI. Been camping this bastard for 3 fucking days now and I'm finally turning to you guys for help. Does anyone have any tips for finding him? Does he prowl at all or is he always visible? I already have an epic macro with Illidan shouting at me if it targets him + I'm offering 500g to people for the tip that leads to me taming him. The worst thing is, 1 hour after I started camping him I found him and some alli bastards killed him as I was mid-tame. At least I got the northern exposure achievement I suppose. Inb4 spec surv, we have no retadin and ferocious inspiration adds up. HALP

It took my wife a month of camping to finally get her. She had the best luck finding her dead/claimed in the mornings after the "server reset". Around 5am CST(Aggramar is a CST server). One of three rares will spawn, either King Crush/Loque/some bird and it's usually a 3 hour respawn.

She's unsure, she believes it's a 3 hour window but can't give a definitive answer.

I'm trying to tame that spirit beast also... With the upcoming changes to BM, spirit beasts will be awesome with spell power transferring to your pet...

The only time I've seen it was while it was JUST tamed T_T Oh, and our server's Basin general channel is like and AH for people trying to buy the spawn... Last time I was there, a hunter was offering 5000 gold...

Why would you want to gimp your dps even further by using spirit beast instead of devilsaur?

Spirit strike is getting a pretty big buff in 3.1 and if it does measure up then every hunter on the server is going to be in the basin. Beating the rush FTW.

What big buff are you talking about? The only thing I see is that they're fixing pet spell hit scaling, which would still leave spirit beast worse than standard cats, and far worse than devilsaur/raptor/moth as well as wolves with the new furious howl.

CD/burst reduced to 6 seconds + blue post stating they intend to make spirit beasts at least as strong as devilsaurs.

So with a damage increase comes more tameable spirit beasts, then? Seems silly to grant a significant damage boost to a pet that <1% of the hunter population has.

If spirit beast became the top dps pet and it was still a rare spawn, they'd fix it pretty quick after massive qq on their forums.

Reminds me of Broken Tooth, but Loque is a pretty awesome looking pet and I know a few people who were able to literally stumble upon her, though for all my time flying around Sholazar mining I've never seen hide nor hair of her (of course I'm not exactly looking)

Good luck, it's definitely the coolest looking pet (imo)

It's a dude, he's shagging that massive Har'koa goddess in Zul'Drak. To be honest I'd like to see how the fuck he manages it considering the size of the old girl lol.

grats, also I think all pets are female by definition (some random mobs out in wetlands which have a spell that turns the target into an undead and all pets become UD female I believe, just speculation and nitpicking though ;P)

Getting those pets is retarded. I spent most of my time after I hit 80 back in Nov. trying to get King Krush. I gave up and good thing since BM was nerfed.
