Yeah, someone doesn't recognize resting gear in /logout apparently. Also, as I've been told, I blink like a Christmas tree when I play, so FFXIAH hardly tells the whole story.

I'll own up to the egg and moldy. Too busy spending cash on other things and I get by with them.

This can be a game developer's nightmare to program and a QA person's worst day ever to make sure it all works alright.

Sure it's doable, we did it in our last build, but it can cause a ton of problems.

More bag space is definitely awesome. I'm remaining a little optimistic on the items that are needed, our last set of gobbiebag expansions that came with WotG had a lot of the high priced items, like adaman ingot, angel and deathstone questable and therefore free. Even the other items were farmed without too much trouble, with the exception of electrum ingot.

With that being said, I hope the new gobbiebag items come from rewards for the new nation quests coming next update, but SE has proven themselves to be unpredictable and inconsistent lol

Sounds like you need that new command that helps you keep someone
selected even though they blink. It's rather handy in situations like that.

In Japan, you mentioned improvements in Storage. Can we expect a future of 160 or 240 Storage spaces?

Tanaka: Multiples of 80. With the limits of PS2 memory, and the need for the entire storage list to be in memory at once, we are stuck at the initially planned limit, 80 slots. We think there could be a kind of switch and you could replace slots in the list from outside, but how it would work or be implemented is still in the planning stages.

I think what users really hope for is more on-hand inventory. Something like, “Today I’m going White Mage, so I’ll take my WHM bag with me.”

Tanaka: It’s still early in the planning stages, but we think that’s the way we’ll have to do it. The inventory limit for users is at 70 now, so there’s still 10 spaces free. We still have room for improvement.

So, first you’ll expand to 80, and then you’ll experiment with replacement systems?

Tanaka: Yes, that’s right. We making preparations now to do so. I can’t even consider now what shape it will take in the end, however. The really nightmarish situation, which shouldn't happen, is if you have 70/70 items, none of which you can drop, with a full Mog House.

I've been damn close to that situation myself a few times, so getting 80 inv slots is a huge relief.

I had thought more people would want to raise a second character. I didn’t think so many would have second, third, and more and more jobs all on the same character. The number of people with 10+ jobs is constantly growing, so we need to respond to that.

Still blows my mind. "I can't think of a single reason people would want to do everything on the same character, our systems for fame, job unlocking, and ranking up are so much more fun than actually playing the damn game!"
