    igxpdx32.dll

I've been getting this error (igxpdx32.dll) error recently. After looking up the error, everything pointed to updating my display driver. I have the driver but my video card (Nvidia Ge Force 6600) but now I can't find it to uninstall the old driver. Any other way to look for it since my shortcut to it disappeared and it's gone from my hardware listings?

Try seeing if it comes up in the uninstall tab in CCleaner? Sometimes it has entries the Add/Remove Programs listing doesn't.

If that doesn't work, you can go the DriverSweeper route.

^ this, if you can't execute the uninstaller via CCleaner. Then use a Third-party driver remover such as that or DriverCleaner.NET.

Got it to work and installed the new driver. No more errors, but my computer shuts down randomly from time to time without any errors. Probably overheating right?

possibly.. but turn off auto shutdown on system failure just to be sure.

control panel > system > advanced > start up and recovery > uncheck auto restart.

and check event viewer, and check bios, some bios keep logs of system crashes.

Haven't had any errors of any kind, it just shuts down automatically. Core temperature hovers around 50-55 degrees and I'm usually running on AC power since my battery barely lasts 3 hours.

hmm, i'd venture either its overheating as you say, or its a power problem related to your socket. Check the bios though, because sometimes you can set it to output error messages on system crashes, like "previous shutdown due to thermal issue." when you power it back on.
If you're battery is indeed dead, then obviously you have no failsafe if you lose your ac connection. Or do you have some charge left on it.

Some things you can do to troubleshoot: Try a different outlet, Try a different ac adapter(they can fail even if the light indicator is still present), use a different battery and see if it charges > then see if it shuts off with said battery. Buy canned air and shoot it into your fans. Do you smoke around your pc? If your comfortable doing it, remove the keyboard and try to reach your fan assembly to check for blockage. Are your fans running? Are they running full boar all the time? Are your fans running when it shuts off? Does your pc restart or simply shut off?

Haven't seen any errors but I tested the plugs and outlet and checked the fans. It looks pretty dirty in there, I might have to get it cleaned out and try a new battery.
