RDM could be a lot worse. What earring do you want him to have on just curious? Aside from mantle my RDM looked pretty much like that at 66.

He could have +MP, +MND or +INT all available from earrings on the AH and not expensive.AF Hands/Feet are completely pointless for parties, there's some MND+ feet in the mid 30s from a simple quest, and HQ or even NQ Devotee's are far more use.People have already mentioned the better capes he could get.

Having said that I've been leveling RDM recently(68 atm), and haven't put too much effort into a MND build for enfeebles simply because I'm always in a party against Birds or Imps. I know I should be enfeebling Imps really but even with capped skill/HQ stave they resist quite a bit and more often than not I'm invited to parties as the sole mage and barely have enough MP to keep everyone alive, let alone worry about enfeebles (Hi there 66DRK/SAM that SE at the start of fights).

HQ staff itself makes her better than 72% of RDM's out there(assuming that he does have Terra's/Aquilo's as well).

quest is simple but prereqs involve spending 60 beastmens seals and doing garrison or spending ~500k on hard to find bazaar only items on most servers

First is a party image, while it may not look that bad it was. WHM and both RDMs meleed and with 3 healers they burned through all their MP in a single fight or close to it. Funny thing is one of the RDMs was casting protect on everyone. I wasn't paying attention but I hope to god the WHM had Protectra, needless to say I forced a DC. They also thought w/ 3 healers they could kill pugs @ 22...

Depends on what he was doing at the time for the Polearm. It's pretty decent as a skillup weapon. As a general thing, WAR caps Polearm at 240, same as SAM, so it is viable to use at times.

For actual XP/merit, sure, since the base damage is nice on WS...but for skilling or perhaps a defense-oriented setup the much lower delay and -10% damage taken make sense.

I don't usually post here but this is such a shame. Doesn't even look like he is that poor, just confused and uninformed on what correct gear is. I have a DRG new to 75 in my LS, was his first job too and he farmed and farmed and did BCNM and fished moat carps to fund proper gear. And he camped Ose till he got his AJ and farmed for his Dusk Gloves.
One thing I really don't get is the earrings and rings on some people. Woodsman's don't cost that much. Ok let's say he can't afford them, then get a Venerers. Ecphoria Rings are 30-50k on some servers, that isn't that hard to get.
And earrings, a Minuet Earring is good and not that expensive. If he has a few 75 friends he could farm the NM for a Fowling, I always see it up. And even if he was real cheap, Coral Earrings are practically a spike earring that costs only 10k.
And belt, why do they always fulltime warwolf, use a Life Belt for TP sigh....until you get your Swift to drop that is.
And get a Pole Grip..... >.>
Was the mantle NQ amemet? At least better than nothing, I'd say he should get all his other gear before then saving up for a HQ amemet.
His hands, at least they have accuracy and at least his body isn't AF, could still use a SH though or just camp Ose.
Neck piece would be one he would have to work for, either spectacles for 100k+ or do assaults for a chiv chain. And turban of course, he should definately have enough IS as a 75, can't have sold coins judging by that gear.

It really isn't THAT hard to get a few smart gear choices. =/

Yeah thats a nq amemet. But Kujata is full of gimps like this, so stay far away =P. There's a certain HNM ls here that starts with a V that is full of them. I vote Kujata as the next dead server :D

That RDM isn't *terrible*, but lol @ AF gloves/shoes, besides the cape. They are thinking it right with the HQ staff so I've gotta give props to that (and that'll do more than some upgrades that I can easily find that'd help).

I don't have any screenshots currrently but I'll be posting my own rdm (64 currently) for opinions soonish. Mine's better geared than that RDM though.
