You know, inciting riots, financially backing coups, providing logistics and arms to gorillas is pretty direct involvement. I don't know how you can see that as something else.

You gotta understand, I didn't list ALL of the conflicts U.S was involved with. Some I thought were not outright evil. U.S has had a military operation every year since ww2.

That's only the ones we know about.

There is a term for this. Democide I believe..

But overall, we don't kill as many people as dictatorships. Although, we have no problem instituting dictatorships on others.

I think we're just an empire - like any other empire. We behave accordingly.

There is no correlation between our domestic prosperity (as in our 'sense' of it, our domestic reality; how we go about our day with work/school/play) and our external behavior.

A good example is when people are labeled anti-American. That presupposes that you first believe that our external behavior defines 'us'. That, THAT is all we are. It's a prominent part of our collective identity but we mean different things to different people.
