When idiots get together shit goes down. I wish I would've been there for that. Bitches better have my nuggets.
I know this sounds racist but it's not- there wasn't a doubt in my mind that this person was black. I don't believe that being black makes you stupid. I will, though, say that there is a certain sense of entitlement and self-importance that is perpetuated in many black communities. It's not all black people and there are white people that grow up the same way.
For some reason this reminds me of a time I was in the student union at the U of MD at the McDonalds there. They stopped doing the dollar menu there because students would come in and plop down $10 and get ten burgers etc and they were losing money on it. So I'm in line behind this woman who gets up there and asks where the dollar menu is...
"where the dollar menu?"
"we don't do it"
"WHAT? YOU AINT GOT NO DOLLAR MENU?"
"people were only ordering off it, we were losing money"
"you ain't got no dollar menu...hang on"
*she steps back, pulls out her cell phone, hits a few buttons*
"yea...I'm at a mcdonalds and they aint got no dollar menu."
Really...she had to make a call over that? what the hell.
Dollar menu is ftw
Replace bong with Swisher/Phillies and it's black again.
Everyone is dumb and good thing I don't like McDonald's. I should've called the police everytime I had eaten there. Cruel and unusual punishment about 2 hours later.
Going to guess absolutely nothing happened in the newsophere today?
I could understand calling 911 over the chicken selects with buffalo sauce, or a fruit and yogurt parfait, but not the nuggets D:
..Dumb bitch.
Funny part is, I actually ate McNuggest for lunch today. I like them, but I don't think going without them warrants making multiple phone calls and abusing the emergency phone line.
It's sad that she ended up with free nuggets out of it in the end.
Pretty much. I'm just waiting on the racial meme to get started from this, oh the possibilities.
Not sure about her nuggets being free. Court costs aren't $3.69. She won't even get a sweet and sour sauce with it.
I really don't understand the people attacking her.I know this sounds racist but it's not- there wasn't a doubt in my mind that this person was black. I don't believe that being black makes you stupid. I will, though, say that there is a certain sense of entitlement and self-importance that is perpetuated in many black communities. It's not all black people and there are white people that grow up the same way.
She made a transaction with McDonalds.
McDonalds did not give her the product, and yet kept the money. Ergo, they stole her money.
And yet she's an idiot for fighting to get her money back.
Your damn right she has a "sense of entitlement". It's her money. She is entitled to it.
Your second example also makes no sense.
Considering the phone call, we can all easily make the assumption that she was ordering for multiple people. What they wanted is no longer there, atleast for the designated price they agreed upon. So why exactly is it a big deal that she's "made a phone call over that"?
It's not a matter of a sense of entitlement. Is their policy stupid? Yes. Should she be calling a dedicated emergency line over $2 and chicken nuggets? No. Save the fucking line for people who are in desperate need of help. Not stupid fucks who can't be bothered to cook at home and are whining over chicken nuggets.
They offered her an alternative. She refused. She could have asked for management and raised a shitstorm, but no... she called the emergency dispatch line over food. That line is for when there is an emergency. Not when you can't get a 10 fucking piece chicken mcfatfuck.
I reiterate - I'm not saying she wasn't in the right, she paid for a product they promised her and they should have refunded it. Calling 911 over it makes her a fucking idiot. Period. That's like calling the national guard because you saw an Iranian walking through your neighborhood.
As another poster said best: "Who would you call if someone stole from you besides the police?"
It is not their policy. In the main article: "In the event that we are unable to fill an order, a customer should be offered the choice of a full refund or alternative menu items."
And she contacted the manager and certainly sounds like she started a shit storm: "The manager just took my money and won't give me my money back, trying to make me get something off the menu that I don't want"
It doesn't matter. You don't call the army when someone breaks into your house. You don't call emergency services when McDonalds refuses to refund your money. Not getting a refund is not an emergency. Yes, it is a police matter, and yes I have already stated that she probably had no other choice. However, the smarter thing to do would be to have called 911 and asked how to get a hold of the police, not call them back repeatedly bitching about chicken nuggets. They have more important things to handle than chicken nuggets. Theft is theft, no matter how small, but we're talking $2 here. The manager didn't walk up to her car, put a gun to her head, and steal her purse. He didn't refund her money.
That's not a fucking emergency.
