My god do some of you complain a lot lol. Their 'priorities' are fine..as said the only connection they have is the prizes and it makes A LOT OF SENSE that they would announce this if they're involved with a premier site's contest. Other companies promote news like this when they're involved with someone else in some way (not the exact same thing but you know what I mean) so why should Square be any different?

i don't know about media, but we had a lot of incoming links for that article from Japanese, and other foreign language blogs and forums.

I think its good that SE is looking to post some stuff about the community, i am curious as to why it seems allakhazam keeps coming up though, surely the other premier sites have submitted ideas to SE for contests...

Of the premier sites Alla probably has the highest number of hits. That is just my guess.

Entries are limited to the egg itself. The egg can be dressed in a costume, but graphically inserted background images and scenery props will result in the entry being disqualified

your banner for the event sucks gtfo its a background hell if i take a picture of the egg in a fing barn would it get knocked off because of the background? stupid alla about as useful as a wet paper bag

There are only 5 premier sites: Stratics, Warcry, Vault, Allakhazam and FFXIclopedia. Anything else, such as PFA and JP Button, are recognized as Community sites.

As far as advertising for their Premier sites, this could be due to the fact that because SE has a bit more weight involved. It's been detailed before that SE is pretty stringent/involved when it comes to the definition of a Premier site vs. a Community site.

Also, Sonomaa is correct as far as the allakhazam.com domain is concerned.

Thank god this site never went premerie, SE seems pretty nazi about their premerie sites. I can only imagine had this site been that way and had to interview the SE dev team someone would have got arrested by now threatening them with a baseball bat.

The rule is in place so that people don't get an unfair advantage for doing a scene rather than having the focus be the egg. If someone were to take a pic in a barn, we'd simply crop the barn out. I just don't want people inserting FFXI backgrounds or adding funny jokes to win by humor.

They're supposed to be telling us about how they're adding Northlands [S] and making the SMN job better, not supporting to that evil Allakazam website.
