It's nothing to do with intelligence or technicalities. Captain rank doesn't give you the extra tag, completing the 50 assaults does.

I get people telling me all the time you can't get the extra tag without the rank and it's simply wrong.

Edit-Pretty sure he was trying to say it's dumb not to go ahead and finish the missions and get the actual perks of Captain, free runic portals and undersea entrance.

You're wrong too, getting the extra tag is 50 regular assaults plus one successful Nyzul Isle Investigation.

So, for the record, since people want to argue "technicalities" in this thread:

Ability to Save Extra Tag at Commissions Agency NPC - Completing all 50/50 Assaults plus one successful Nyzul Isle Investigation.

Captain Rank - Completion of the "Promotion: Captain" quest which is offered by talking to Abquhbah upon completion of 50/50 Assaults and completion of the Aht Urghan mission line.

Sorry, I'm not trying to say nyzul investigation isn't part of it, it's been well over a year since I've had the ability to get the extra tag. I just know that when I completed my last assault I had the extra tag.

My point was mainly that I get a lot of people telling me you have to have captain for the tag when it's not true.

Oh I agree, I just figure since this is the standard forum and some people without Captain might be reading, it's best to just put it all out there.

I just remember the extra tag requirement clearly because upon completion of my 50th Assault, I was able to get the extra tag while some in my static did not due to the fact I'd done some Nyzul Isle on the side.

For some I would say that selling coins is a great way to go. For me, 3k IS means 3 gold pieces for 30k or a chance at 330k on a Khroma. I can't remember the last time I was in dire enough straights that I'd wouldn't take the chance (plus I've been abnormally luck with Khroma).

I won't deny for some selling coins is a great idea, but for me with alternative sources of income, I don't see the point.

same, never buy coins with IS. to me, its a waste

ISNM = 20k minimum usually to 380k max(depending on server)

Captain was great and fun to accomplish.

Doing all 50 again for mythic , completed 50/50, and realise you traded in the wrong weapon is dum as fuck.

We have a guy in my static that hasn't completed the AU missions yet and obviously isn't Captain, but he still has the extra tag thanks to us clearing all Assaults + Nyzul isle.

So yes you do not need Captain for it, just all assaults clear.
