I just level'd sam because I wanted to get away from Guillotine! Oh, and cause I wanted to be cool.

Anyone have any tips for me for 57 RNG? I've been level syncing ever since 38 (and when I got 38 it was a very long time ago), so I've never actually used my 57 RNG in exp.

This is what I've got so far, and I don't know if I'm completely misguided in what I'm choosing or not. What I have so far is only for bow. Is there a good reason to be using Marksmanship instead? (If so, from what I understand Slug Shot is more AGI heavy whereas Sidewinder is more STR heavy?) I know that some things can be HQ'd or I could be using Jagd over Ranger's necklace etc. but I'm trying not to spend too much gil as there's a good chance that I'll be stuck in level sync anyway.

Sorry if I belong more in the Gimp/WTF players thread; I don't have enough experience with this job at this level. Just trying to gear myself for potential higher level exp parties now that I have Sidewinder/Slug.

Edit: I haven't actually had an exp party at this level yet so I haven't had a chance to test any of it out.

You'll be lucky to land 50% of your sidewinders in that setup, add a ton more r.acc assuming no hunters or prelude.

Your TP setup is good, the only adjustment I'd make personally is changing the jaridah bazubands to either noct +1, or even rse. Also, vision earring is good ear slot as well. For WS, i didn't even change any of my gear, because acc sucks balls, even with the marksmanship merits i had for gun. I would focus more on acc, because you aren't doing any damage if you're whiffing.

but i have 8/8 marksmanship, maybe could use more acc in certain spots if i didnt.

A week fresh into 75. No prior job that uses Homam. 8/8 sword merits, 5/5 Physical potency and 2/8 Blue magic, which im gonna finish next. All stats are without spells set and no food.

Cuch would probably do a bit better for TP and Vorpal, especially in the Meat set, since you already have it I would stick it in there.

this, I use cuch fulltime for pizza/meat usually, tp/ws forager for sushi, also gorgets for ws. And I'd use Mirage Heat for non-CA spell after blue skill merits capped since non-CA 1 WD from skill will beat str. Also no VC, set so no expiacion atm, I am guessing?

I'm in no way a SAM but, wouldn't you need to WS in a piece of Hachiman to retain a 6-hit without a Rajas?

I'm gonna try using cuch mantle in my tp set for meat, but with +44acc and 290 skill, it feels a bit overkill for sushi.

And im thinking morrigan will outdo Mirage head on an overall basis, because of the accuracy. My current Big3 set has +29 acc and +30 dex. I guess it could be a question of meat and sushi setup again to. Idk.

WD from increase should still beat acc, it's only 2.5% hit rate, especially once you have full physical potency merits for +10 acc on melee spells, if you're that concerned acc just put in other slots.
