Resident Evil 5! | Switch Edition - 2019

This game is amazing - just got it today and already on 5-1 playing coop with my roommate. I've been playing with the MP5, M92FS and S75, almost all fully upgraded up to where I am in the game while my roommate has been using the M92FS, M29 Magnum and M3 shotgun. Great combo. :3

Not sure if this ending leaves room for another game in the series. Wesker pretty much had a hand in everything RE, with him out of the picture, hum. Satisfied that Jill's alive atleast, and the battle with Jill was pretty damn nice too(The music made it epic-ish)

Overall I really enjoyed it and I love the direction RE has been taking since 4.

got up to chapter 3-2 with my buddy last night co-op , what i dont like is it wont let me (sheeva) upgrade my own shit i keep having to hand my buddy (chris) the guns i want upgrading and have him hand em back, id prefer to be able to do this on my own, but thats just nit picking on my side.

anyway loving the co-op, great game to play with some beers n a pizza!

Not to burst your bubble dude, but Sheva CAN upgrade her weapon. I'm not sure what you were doing (maybe you didn't have enough money? When you collect a single piece of treasure, both players get it) but I was able to upgrade my weapons a whole bunch while my friend did as well.

The scenes with Wesker were just ridiculous. I felt like I was watching the Matrix again, and it just felt so out of place. I bought a rocket launcher for the final boss and killed him in one shot, so that was a bit disappointing too. I'm sure on Veteran and Professional it'll be a lot harder though...or so I hope

Gonna start on Veteran tonight. I already have infinite ammo for the Ithaca, and my friend has one of the machine guns with infinite ammo, so we should hopefully blaze through it. Gonna get the L.Hawk maxed out next!

Does anyone know if joining another person's game alters where your "Continue" is currently saved? Playing on Veteran with a friend and I was looking to farm ammo/gold but didn't want to have data save somewhere else when we were in the middle of a chapter.

Btw, if you are low on ammo and want to supply it quick, there's a glitch that you can do to "farm" it easily...Start with Chapter 2-1, collect all the ammo then select Quit, return to main menu and choose Continue, the crates and boxes will respawn.

Make sure that you finish a chapter from START TO END, that means not joining midway through an online match. I finished the game, but I didn't get 'completes' for some chapters because I'd disconnect from Darus, then rejoin, and lose my progress. I'd finish the chapter and advance, but I wouldn't get a rank or credit for it. I had to go back and re-do a lot of chapters on solo just to get credit.

The Wesker/Jill fight was fucking amazing. I died so many times but I didn't even care, cause it was so cool. While it really sucks to see Wesker die, it was an overall amazing game. I thought his scenes were awesome, ridiculous or not. I'm just curious now as to who the main villain can be with him gone. I know the whole facility in Africa is still there, and hundreds and hundreds of test subjects, but who's gonna run it now? All the founding members of Umbrella are dead. Wesker is dead, Birkin is dead. Who does that leave? Maybe they're trying to set up something with the whole "Wesker Project" thing? If there was more than one that survived, they could be the main force. There's still Tricell that's left, and other rogue organizations. Anyone else have thoughts on it?

Just seems really weird to me that they would kill off the main villain of the entire series. Anything is possible. I REALLY doubt this Wesker is still alive, as he was in lava after all, and got hit by 2 rockets. Anyway, I was very please, and I have a possible GotY already and it's just started.

There's always Ada Wong. Shes always been a conniving bitch. Plus she's still working for another major pharmaceutical corporation that goes by 'S'. She still even has a sample from RE4. Add that in with Tricell and things still can get pretty interesting.

The first time happening when he received an award from his superiors of the B.S.A.A. for his heroic efforts at Kijuju. The second time happening when he was on a date with a unknown Asian woman, experiencing flashbacks of Kijuju while being accidentally flashed by reflecting light from the woman's portable makeup mirror. The third happened during a training exercise with his sister, Claire Redfield. And the fourth when Chris questions if there's anything left for him in life as he stands on the railing of a bridge contemplating suicide; he experiences another flashback as he strips down to his undershirt, hallucinating as he sees cuts all over his hands and arms, and the words "Kijuju" forming in blood around his arm. The last and final chapter of the episodes show Chris sitting in a bathtub full of water fully clothed, the TV suddenly turns on which he shoots. Sheva walks into the room and pulls Chris out of the water, throwing a towel to him and telling him of their next mission. Chris gets out and decides the only way to forget past memories is to replace them with new ones as Sheva begins to experience the same hallucinations Chris did. "

I did not like the whole Wesker angle. It kind of felt like they took the easy way out and just made him straight out of the Matrix mold. The first fight against him with the lights was irritating as shit but at least it wasn't too dragged out.

I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Wesker. I mean for God's sake the guy was still fighting as he was literally standing in a river of lava. Plus how many other times have we seen one person die, only to find out that they miraculously survived and we changed by whatever pharmaceutical company Capcom decides to use that day as the bad guys. The music in the fight against Jill was amazing.

Has anyone figured out how to get the other two alternate costumes yet? I'm assuming it's probably through the Mercenaries game but I'm looking for confirmation. All in all I give it an 8/10.

My main complaints were the omittal of the briefcase inventory system and the real time inventory menu. Having 9 slots, then taking up two of them with the melee vest and the bulletproof vest is quite annoying. They should have made the vests not count towards your inventory status.

The music was very well done. The plot itself was fairly well done. I didn't really like the fact that the majini's started carrying machine guns etc. And I fucking hated the lickers. It wouldn't be bad if it was just one or two of them at a time. But when it's six or seven, it's rough. Very fun game and I'm extremely pleased with it. I would say it's slightly better than RE4.
