It would have been very amusing if there was some character named Bordem, but say he was a regular NPC you never get to fight, who still gets in the party's way constantly, or something along those lines to fit:

Every time I think of beemage I keep thinking of Little Nemo the Dreamaster Master for the NES.

Winsor McCay was incredible. He'd just up and ink, no pencils beforehand.

Can the OP please come back and tell us if there's anything else FFXI related (or even Final Fantasy related) in the rest of that book?

That is all for FFXI related

    other things final fantasy related:

1987's Final Fantasy saved Square from bankruptcy. It was named Final Fantasy because it was going to be the creators last game; hence "final" fantasy

World record for longest wait for a movie based on a game franchise: Final Fantasy (14 years) [2nd longest is Doom at 12 years]

World record for fastest FF3 win: 8 hours 24 minutes 50 seconds

World Record for the motorcycle game inside the gold saucer in FF7: 16,700 points

FF7 is the #20 top console game ever, FF12 is #8

Largest budget ever for a game-licensed movie: $137 Million for FF Spirits Within (It lost around 107 million)

That's it for FF related stuff I think. It is a cool little book. They have it for sale for $16.99 at best buy. It's fun to read if nothing else. This is the 2009 edition but I have the 2008 edition also.

Off subject little known fact: At one time I was going to be in the Guinness book of world records (the "regular" one) for longest single hook chest suspension; but someone beat me too it with a record I could not beat.

i know im late on the reply, but how did FF12 top FF7 on the top console games ever?

im not a humongous fan of either, i personally like 6, 9 and *gasp* 8, but i still catch myself now, playing FF7 on my PSP instead of re-playing FF12 just from the fucking epicness of it lol.

Probably partly due to the fact a lot of the people who got FF7 got in on PC (that is, not a console) thanks to Sony/Square-hating angst after buying their N64's...like me.

Still, I'm surprised FF10 wasn't higher than 12. I would expect 13 to kick 12's ass, especially being on 2 consoles.

I'm kinda shocked about FF12 beating FF7 in sales to. But damn.... FF3 beat in 8 hours? Wonder what job combo they used.

Bazookas were the shit in PSO. Iirc they were practically useless though :/. Also got 2 lv200 characters (HUmar and the android hunter) and promptly got both corrupted when I logged online for the 1st time. Fuck you PSO, fuck you.

My brother and I had a character for each Section ID; we'd run names through an ID calculator until we got the ID we wanted. It worked out, since then we could level a bunch of different classes too.

Gamecube PSO did have that unfixable offline dupe bug, though, so basically once one person had one of those items, next thing you know everyone was running around with them. I went to all the trouble of getting a legit Black King Bar, but of course, nobody would believe me (without seeing the stats, which weren't nearly as good as the duped one 90% of the players had). Pretty much all my stuff is legit, though there is one of my brother's characters with all the very best contraband to mess around with.

There's still at least one free server for it; I actually got online and blew some stuff up last year, and it's still fun. Something about going in with 3 other people and just mowing down waves of stuff. 152 Fomar, 125ish RAmar, and a bunch of other stuff near 100. I'm sure I'll pick it up again at some point for a bit.
