you answered your own question, you choose to start on a difficulty, BEFORE the game starts. you choose to turn the chambers off, once it starts. Don't see the problem here.

I'm getting slightly annoyed by how setting traps for Adam farming time is almost pointless. At least, not as effective as it should be.
I set traps in an area that is the only plausible area they could come in from, but they end up magically spawning in an area that has absolutely no entrance.
I set traps away from the body, and get spider slicers who somehow got right up to me w/o hitting 1.
then I set traps right up next to the body, and get houdini splicers who ranged attack me and never get close.
Theres only 1 way to get to where the body is, and the big tank guy comes charging in 1st and runs over all the traps.
Maybe it's just bad luck on my part, but it seems the game likes to pick enemies that make your traps useless.
Edit:
jesus fucking christ I'm pissed right now...
I entered Dionysus Park, did everything, got everything. saved all the little sisters. Was fighting the Big Sister, had her down to 15% health and my game freezes.
Why the fuck is the only auto-save at the very start of the level? All the fucking way at the very beginning of the goddamn level.
edit:
now that I'm not as pissed... I just realized the irony of this post. Now when I finally play the level again, I'll know where to set the traps...
Well, you can choose to save yourself. Don't have to wait for it to auto-save.
yeah I know, but its hard to remember sometimes when youre caught up in playing.
especially when you never think that the game's just going to feeze on you and you'll have to reset.
I'm sure as hell doing it now a lot though.
My game froze because I probably had too many things going on in game at the same time. helicopter bots/turret bot explosions, proxy mine explosions, mini turrets, grenade launcher, and all the stuff that Big Sister does.
Just changed the game to easy to blow through this lv again. too bad I don't think I'll get all the trophies I could have if I didn't switch, but I plan on playing through this again anyways.
I usually dont care about trophies but I was trying to get the one for not tkaing damage during a gather and cant pull it off, I came close a few times but those alphas are fags.
Playing through for my second time, I love exploring, I actualy missed some stuff my first playthrough.
Probably best off doing an undamaged gather near the middle of the game. when you have access to most of the good weapons and the enemies arent total bitches, and you have access to that trait that speeds up gathering.
Imo, Dionysus Park is probably best. I know theres at least 1 gather area(don't remember where exactly) that's pretty easy. No Houdini's and not many people with guns. I think it was in the top level of the theater.
I'd say save right before a gather and see what kind of enemies there are and where they run in from, then set up proxy mines, the plasma traps, Rivet traps and mini turrets and grab 2 helicopter turret guys.
I haven't tried that achievement yet, haven't really tried any yet, I'm just going through to beat the game atm, but it seems pretty possible.

The EXACT same thing just happened to me, was at the end of the level with everything done and my game freezes when the big sister had only a notch of health left. Didn't have any saves because, like you, I just get into the game and forget all about it.
On my second play through right now to get a couple achievements I missed. But I agree on there being no "wow" moments like in the first game. Was kind of disappointing, I was expecting some big twist like in Bioshock 1.
I also wish the had changed/added a bit more, everything is basically the exact same at the first game but with a couple little tweaks or fixes. Hopefully they mix it up a bit in the third game they're no doubt making.
Or they can just forget about bioshock for now and make system shock 3.
So as I said Im doing my second playthrough and i noticed something I thought was a nice little touch.

So pissed I almost got that trophy for no damage, I took damage from fire on a body I killed and didnt get it lol...
Finished this last night. After following somethinginthesea.com for a year I was slightly devastated

Anyone else think it was slightly short? Enjoyable but very short. I hope theres some DLC on the way for this or its gonna be traded in as soon as Final Fantasy 13 comes out here![]()
Protip for Gathering without taking damage:
Go hide in a corner
Spam Cyclone Trap right on top of the Little Sister with Eve Saver and max Hypo's
???
Profit
Haven't had a chance to play it much, but I've been watching the wifey play. She's not a big FPS player, but she has loved BioShock since the first one. She's a little rusty, and it's been a little funny watchin her get her ass kicked.(playing on normal). She doesn't really get very tactical, just run in Rambo style and pray lol. Watching her with the second ADAM gather was hard. I had to tell her, Trap rivets are your friend. Don't put them all over, put them where you know enemies will be coming from.
Hopefully I don't get my ass handed to me nearly as often as she has. Big sister are not going to be fun. Bitches are nasty from what I've seen.
Big Sister = Lern2Drill
They are pretty easy compared to some of the other stuff. I never died to a Big Sister but would often find myself dying to groups of Leadhead Splicers![]()
Got this last night after debating between this and Bayonetta. Wasn't real impressed with the first one, but I picked it up after playing through 100 something hours of Fallout. Thought all the twists and surprises were fairly obvious the whole game with the exception of the secret phrase (which I felt a little was a little silly and underwhelming anyway). Hoping it was just the feeling of coming off of Fallout that made the first one feel average, because I’ve heard great things about Bayonetta and I really want to like this game :/
Drill damage and rivet damage are the first ones I do, did it on both of my playthroughs so far. Once you get the shotgun, upgrade the cpacity on it, after that its pick and choose.
I hope that they release a DLC that explains two things they left out

I collected all of the audio tapes and they weren't able to fill in either of those tidbits.
