Steam Weekend Deal: World of Goo for $4.99

It's only $5, it's tied for my favorite game of last year, there is literally no reason not to buy it now. I'm buying it again for PC (yay mods).

World of Goo is a multiple award winning physics based puzzle / construction game made entirely by two guys. Drag and drop living, squirming, talking, globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and giant tongues. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious.
    World of Goo is love.

Hadn't bought this yet, funds are tight, and I probably won't get to play it, but $5? Fuck you Subway, this is my dinner.

Also, people in search of deals should go download "Tiny Toon Adventures" (what's shame?). Couple threads down, can't miss it.

Awesome game for those who haven't played it. I have it for Wii already but may consider getting it for PC as well.

Tried to buy this yesterday, but it gave me an error when I hit purchase, and told me to try again. Second time didn't work again and this time I stopped trying. Now I have some pending charges on my credit card and I still didn't get the game First time I've ever had trouble buying off steam.

So, why am I capped at 300 goo balls in the building area thing? Do I have to do something special so that I can use more? Because I've gotten way more than 300, but I can't use them.

It's just capped to allow for fair competition.

2D Boy: I love you, 2D Boy! : A really early prototype for the game. The physics are really broken in funny ways

And last chance to get a truly superb game for 5 dollars

Awesome game, well worth the $5 I spent. My only bitching is that there's no windowed mode, but that minor blemish is overshadowed by the awesomeness that is the gameplay and design.

I feel like a fucking retard...I cannot get past level 4 on world 1. The frame collapses before I can get it up and around the corner.

It's not tipping over so adding weight to the right wouldn't help...one of the bonds linking the framework inevitably breaks.

I am having trouble on the tower of goo. It keeps falling over and if I make the base wide enough then I run out of gooballs before I get high enough.

Sometimes the trick is to build very fast so that you can reach the pipe and initiate the suction which helps with stability before the thing topples over from your quick & sloppy building. There are a few OCDs you have to do this to get...
