why justice torque for WS tho

only WS that you can argue A LITTLE using justice torque for is Catastrophe, but i even use soil gorget for that because catastrophe acc kinda sucks(eyeballing)

    snow gorget for guillotine {Yes, please}

as for your scythe, most people dont like death+1 is because of the delay, making some of them unable to do 6 hits. Perdu isnt bad, but i thought the scythe/ring set or lavaule sets are a little better if you have no problem with acc.

See i was using gorget for some time but i can never parse results i just eyeball everything. And from so many forums when i would check anyway i always saw that it only helps the first hit of the swing. is that true? or does it help all?

    acc applies to all hits

and the damage boost is approx 30+ damage on first hit

so its like having a PCC on, but with bonus 30-50 damage

and 30-50 damage is definately more than what 5 str and 7 attack(10 att with 5 str) can offer in general, believe it or not, and it gives extra acc too for multi hit WS.

thats what they said in the gorget/whats better thread. The only exception is Love torque for THF WS (and maybe drg, but no one kinda do more findings for drg)

Tred is nothing special, it's just very cheap and almost keeps up with the more expensive options. Death +1 is way overpriced for what it does, kind of like orichalcum scythe. In general, Perdu is gonna trump all, but in capped acc and/or attack situations moli set should win out most of the time over death+1, tred, and perdu.

Increased crits are kinda cool on really tough stuff where crits make a big difference (like hnms) but even then, your acc and attack probably won't be capped anymore unless it's a zerg so gogoperdu. In acc or attack capped situations like merits, einherjar, dyna, limbus, etc. against squishy stuff, crits will be a bit lulzy and the lower delay+higher damage of moli set (remember the +str) will win out, even ignoring the souleater boost.

    Zerging? K-Club/O-Club/M-Kris/Zaghnal
    Acc/att capped? Moliones's.
    Not capped? Perdu
Want somethin cheap that's decent at everything? Tredecim

Tred always did substantially better for me pre-apoc than perdu, never bothered with testing the other options, but i'm almost certain tred would beat death+1 by a fair margin overall.

The delay of perdu ruins it for /SAM unless you want to use some stupid TP setup or eat subpar food.

That's a neat trick you did there. Molione's says hi.

lolwut? For situations where you're not starting from 0tp (aka all the time), the same setup of /sam, raja's, and brutal will yield you the same 5-hit build for practical purposes. (I define 5-hit as the amount of hits required after ws to 100tp).

Actually thinking about it, part of the reason tred did so much better for me was probably that i still had sattva until a few days before i got apoc, i used perdu from as soon as i could equip it to about 2 months before relic, then switched to tred, then bec de faucon, but i still maintain tred is better overall.

"True" 6-hit is dumb when you're the most accurate job in the game with a 4-hit weaponskill.

So, being that I don't know much about Store TP

501 Scythes (Moli/Perdu) not so hot for merits because you'd have to add more stp than /sam, rajah, and brutal

528 scythes (Tred/Death) makes 6 hit, good for merits,

and all these Scythes are, as usual, situational outside of merits, right?

I told a friend that until he gets Rajah and Brutal, Moli set is best, that sound about right?

you will still be ok with only /SAM rajas and brutal with 501 delay for merits unless for some reason you only use 1hit weaponskills. It will take 1 extra swing to reach 100TP from 0TP, like after a feather tickle, or when you start(unless you take a few hits).

Everyone has their own opinion on best non-relic scythe for use at 75, i strongly recommend tred, but perhaps for some peoples builds perdu or moliones might do better, just avoid death/+1.

This raised some questions for me aswell. I currently can't decide on what scythe to use.

    With a TP setup of

    ??? scythe?/Pole Grip / /Bomblet
    Turban/J.Torque/Brutal/ Abyssal
    Hauberk +1/Homam/Rajas/Toreador's
    Forager's/Swift/Homam/Homam

    And a WS setup of

    ??? Scythe/Pole Grip/ /Bomblet
    O-Hat(Chaos +1/Snow Gorget/Brutal/Abyssal
    Hecatomb/Chaos +1/Rajas/Flame
    Forager's/Potent Belt/Onyx Cuisses/Hecatomb (Chaos +1)

What scythe/combo would be best to use.
I have Tredecim, Death +1 and the Molione's Set.
Don't have Perdu or nearly enough points/the rank to get one.

Like, is Death +1 really a waste of gil, and is Molione's worth using over, say Tred and Toreador's/flame?

Any constructive answer and explanation is more than welcome.

    Cheers in advance.

death +1 is not a waste of gil because you can sell it XD

but molione set is pretty good, if you have enough acc....

if you see yourself going into an apoc soon, or dont wanna waste IS, then skipping perdu is fine.......

You have a abysal earring, so i guess the la_vaule combo isnt that great for you.

Tred scythe is wonderful but its all about choices really......there is NO BEST scythe among molione, perdu and tred in ALL situation

only apoc is a scythe for all XD

^This is exactly why I can't make up my mind, hehe.

Thanks for the quick reply though.
As for ACC. I'm sitting at 304 Scythe with a decent ACC setup.
I guess I'll sell Death +1 and hop between Molione's and Tred then.

    Thanks again ^^

So would not having scythe merits justify the use of homam head? I would think the acc on it would be better than missing 2% faster

You mean missing out on the returns 2% haste give you when already sitting at 50+% haste? Or did you perhaps mean missing 7% of your swings 2% faster compared to missing 5% of your swings 2% slower?

Let's say you have a choice between homam, ohat, and turban. There are situations that each is ideal for. But homam is ideal for such a tiny, tiny sliver, that you're likely to be doing it wrong and actually in an area where ohat or turban are better.
