I will say that true 6-hit is nice, even with Perdu (which I believe is simply just Rajas, Ech and Brutal). On colibri, Feather tickle will screw you often enough to miss it, and I already parse 95% on birdies without a better ring (like Toreador). Mamools, you won't miss too, too often, and they will probably smack you at least once, so it's not as big a deal. Perdu I think helps there, as it translates to an extra 2.5% acc...

I disagree about feather tickle. Yeah it sucks, but if you get tickled it means you got hate which means it's probable that you'll get hit, which fixes the problem. You also have tricks like meditate to counter this from time to time.

501 vs. 528 shouldn't be a deciding factor in what scythe you want to use at all unless you don't have raja's yet or something. And in that case, you're kinda gimp anyway so w/e. It doesn't even matter if you're doing something which requires a sub other than /sam, since they both will become 7-hit at that point. So imo, not worth keeping both for different situations.

I ended up switching from Tred to Moliones because I didn't lose any accuracy (I was using a +5 acc ring for tp), gained 7 STR (and by default some base dmg and attk and small boost for ws) for tping and wsing and didn't mess up my 6-hit.

I found that the bottom line Tred crit hit increase was about 4-5% based on my parses and that I did better with Moliones. I feel that if you have a decent drk/sam setup, that Moliones is better than Tred.

I'm not a fan of perdu either, not that it's a bad choice though. I prefer the benefits (listed above) +7 str gives me over +5 acc and 9-11 atk. I tp in about ~400 acc so I'm close to cap on birds and with situational using of Diabolic Eye and an acc heavy guillotine macro when appropriate, I can maintain high acc for higher evasive mobs like lurkers, etc.

There are also the situations where you have to hold tp (mob is low health, avoiding getting your face ripped off etc) and then perdu loses it's bonuses and becomes very gimp. Although not a huge deal, I think it's something that's worth remebering when making the decision.

My final opinion is that for decently equipped drks, Moliones>Tred>Perdu. As your gear degrades, Moliones falls off and Tred/Perdu become better for you, with Perdu taking over for the less geared drks at some point.

End of the day: get an Apoc

528 scythes (Tred/Death) makes 6 hit, good for merits,

and all these Scythes are, as usual, situational outside of merits, right?

I told a friend that until he gets Rajah and Brutal, Moli set is best, that sound about right?
Just to clear this stp thing up since there's still some confusion. With /sam, raja's, brutal (21stp) 528's are a true 6-hit. 501's are not. However, from a full return guillotine, both 528's and 501's are 5-hit to 100tp for the next ws. 528's will retain that 5-hit unless you miss the first hit on guillotine. 501's will retain the 5-hit unless you miss the first swing and/or any 2-hits on guillotine.

For practical purposes, it's not a big deal since you shouldn't be missing 2 hits on guillotine on a regular basis. This is also one of the reasons I would only recommend Moliones to better equipped drks who have better acc gear available.

If your friend doesn't have raja's or brutal, Moliones would be the last scythe I'd recommend. With just 15 stp from /sam, Tred for him will lose the true 6-hit, but retain the 5-hit after ws and the 501 rules apply for missed guillotine hits in that case. The 501's fall to 6-hit from ws and are a true 7-hit. In his case I'd recommend Tred and after he get's more stp and depending on the rest of his gear, go to Perdu if it's average, and Moliones if he can support it.

I notice whenever 6-hit is brought up for DRK, Rajas Ring is the 1st piece of gear mentioned. Like it's impossible to do 6-hit efficiently w/o it.

I had every mage job leveled before I even looked at DRK. And hence am the proud owner of a Tamas Ring.

It is possuble to do w/o Rajas Ring....and even Ecphoria if you use Carbonara.

+4 STR, +65 Attack, +6 Store TP. All you lose off of Coeurl Subs is +10 Attack and +1 STR. And allows you to TP with another Accuracy Ring to boot.

You're right. But most people don't want to spend the gil to spam carbonara (or couerl subs, you should be comparing to kabobs which are virtually the same as carbonara minus the stp) at birds. And if you use it at mamools, you start to really lose out on the benefits of using real meat foods (hellsteak, dragon steak, curry, etc).

You can still upgrade to a REAL meat food on mamools and still have a 6-hit w/o a Rajas.

And go die about your Tamas Ring comment. I love mine. And I don't feel I lose out that much by not having Rajas Ring, there's always secondary options for all 3 rings. And if you look at my jobs I benefit alot more from Tamas Ring than I do Rajas Ring.

how does liberator's stats that we know about compare to Perd/Tred/Moliones

i ask because other then looking cool, that scythe seems to me like it would be insanely broken for zerging (hi2u 50% double attack for 2 mins with full haste gear, Desperate Blows, 2 hour marches and haste spell)

also it seems like it would be extremly accurate if you spammed insurgency at 100%, allowing you to stack on more str and more att then you otherwise would be able to (testing on other mythics seemed to be +20acc@100% from what i read) and as far as insurgency, people have reported it as being not completly inferior to Guillotine

basically im at a point as far as mythics are concerned where i want one but i dont know which one, since i have captain, key, titles, (and about 50% done with ampouls and tokens) but recently found out Vajra can not be offhanded, and im allready working on Mandau

im not really interested in hearing how much better apocalypse is, simply because the prices ive been able to get alex at (free or 2k per) means ill probly end up spending 60mil at least to maybe 90mil at most, while apocalypse would cost me closer to 200mil (at current prices)

You can already do this with b.zag. Souleater makes the differences between the two a lot less.

Most of drk dmg is coming from ws, not dot. So you're talking about using a weaker ws that will allow you to do marginally more dot. Head, legs, feet, body, back, waist slots won't change regardless of your weapon choice for tping. And if you're using Moiliones, you're already able to tp in 2x str rings w/o acc loss. So I'm not sure what gear you're are thinking about swapping out for more str/atk (aka no drk is going to not use their haste gear for tping).

Honestly, I don't know a lot about mythics as most of them seem sub-par, on the surface at least, to not only dynamis relics, but also to other much more easily obtainable options. I don't really see liberator offering you much more than what you can get now, especailly for the requirements to get one and it certaintly doesn't change the way you can play drk like an apoc does, which for something of this magnitude should offer more imo. Maybe if insurgency gets figured out, liberator would become a more attractive choice.
So I can't really recommend a mythic that you should do, but I don't see liberator ranking very high there.

well the big difference between Zaghnal and Liberator i see is the DMG on lib (93) and Zhag(24) being allot less dmg per swing... maybe, i dont really know.

Basically im a thief75, with almost all the gear i want for the job, -Mandau/X's, and almost all the good gear for Thief is also pretty good for drk and drg (less for drk, but zerging always looked fun to me) and i saved up a bunch for vajra, but now that dream of being a super X's in my offhand (for SATA anyway) is broken lol...

got all the titles, captain, ampouls, tokens, ZNM trophies, 1800/30000 Alex, and i can trio probly 40/50 Assault reclears with friends... but i just dont know which i would want

my DOT is more than my WS

maybe thats just because catastrophe's average is usually 950 on mamool/birds compare to possible 1100+ average if spam guillotine. but gaining extra 6%(my pre aftermath is 19% haste gear) haste does makes up ALOT of average WS loss from DOTs with apoc.

for me, my DOT is definately my main source of damage as seen in meripo parse(usually 6:4 ratio). Only a SAM will notice a visible WS damage >>> dot. even in non SP zerg situations, my drk's dot to WS ratio is about 47k : 40k (eg. the 10 battles sarameya non sp zergs as seen in event section)

maybe non apoc drk's damage mainly come from WS? tbh, i dont know. i didnt play drk until i got apoc in merits. used nin mainly before i got apoc for merits so i cant really deny what you said ^^

I have been banned for a while so cant check, and i don't trust the math, but i'm pretty sure just SJ SAM + Brutal + 528 delay is a true 6hit, I definitely remember having a true 6hit with bec de faucon with no rajas.

    And backing arthars up even though its not strictly relevant, apoc DoT for me was way above WS total, from some parses;

    Total: 259029 Melee:159804 Spell: 3066 Skill: 96054 Ability: 105

    Total: 419353 Melee: 249652 Spell: 293 Skill: 169240 Ability: 168

I usually end up dong more ws dmg then melee dmg. However, after reviewing a bunch of parses, it's not as lopsided as I initially recalled. I do about 12-13% more ws dmg than melee dmg if I'm going all out in my pt. Other times it pulls even or becomes greater if I'm being lazy, in a bad pt, etc.

Even so, for what's currently known about liberator, I wouldn't get it. But it's entirely possible there is something about that weapon that makes it great and worth the effort.

Ya, 528 /sam and +1stp is all you need for a true 6-hit.

I have really found that Insurgancy really goes well sub war. Went from 400 to 1k hits with sole sushi food. Equip set up:

    TP
    Head: Homam
    Neck: Chiv Chain
    Body: Homam
    Hands: Dusk or Chasos +1
    Legs: Homam
    Feet: Adaman (lol yeah)
    Rings: Rajas/Ulthalams
Ear: Brutal/Magnetic or Minuet (depening on mood )
    Scythe: Tred.

    WS
    Head: Chaos +1/Ohat
    Nect Chiv Chain
    Body: Haubergeon
    Hands: chaso +1
    Legs: Homam
    Feet: Adaman
Rings: Ruby (unless in NIsle), Rajas
    Ear: Brutal/Magnetic
    Scythe: Tred.

I have full Denali set and going to try get Askar for some parts of set up Hence no askar. I know I need to sort feet out.

But with this insurgancy was really good.

Eyeballing means nothing. You are disadvantaging yourself heavily by going /war instead of /sam.

Haubie+1 is better for a few reasons:
TP mods of Guillotine aren't crazy.
Need to land all 4 hits to maximize damage (no acc bonus unlike Gekko or Spinning Slash, for e.g).
Attack does *ALOT* for Guillo. In fact for all multi-hits, but see the difference in parsed averages with no minuet and minuet.
Consistency of damage will merit mobs or better on Guillotine with Hauberk/Haubie+1 than Heca. More acc, way more att, for a slightly str loss...
