Never had Jersey Shore pizza but the pizza in Mid-town Manhattan is pretty gross for how expensive it is unless you're eating in Little Italy or you know where the gems are accross the 5 boroughs. Like this one place close to where I stay during the week in Washington Heights Manahattan tastes like DiGiornos and it's pretty good if I say so myself. I can't remember what it's called though.

Shore pie is the best pie, from an authentic shop. Inexpensive, too, so long as you're not in Toms River or something.

Pro tip: if you get Papa John's and you like the sauce, order extra sauce extra cheese. About half again as much food and there's no price increase. Then again this may bankrupt your local franchise.

It would be a cold day in hell, the day I order a pizza with anything more than "light on the sauce." Too much sauce ruins pizza, I don't like to simulate plate tectonics occuring over a sea of magma.

Am I the only one who dislikes deep-dish and loves a crisp little thin crust? Round Table makes a great thin, but that's all. Little Caesar's sucks aside from Crazy Bread. Pizza Hut makes good crust if you're in the mood for half your pizza to be bread. California Pizza Kitchen is overpriced and overrated. Fat Slice in San Francisco or Berkeley is the best pizza I've ever had... though there are only two locations.

Also, what is it about those slices that end up super skinny because the douche at the pizza place doesn't know how to cut, that makes them so much better than big wide slices?

Really, the only pros to ordering from a chain (little caesars, pizza hut, papa johns) is that it is cheap...and hot...especially little caesars, fuck...$5/pizza? just cheap ass way to get a ton of calories

Im not including Dominos in my assessment, b/c i would never order dominos...it is awful fucking pizza

Haha I live in toms river now, theres a few great places around here and the shore but they do get pricey. The pizza I'm mainly talking about is in Lakewood.

The same goes for Mexican food and Chinese food, as well as with Pizza places - The dirtier the place looks, and the worse part of town it's in, the better the food. Proven fact lol. And well, Lakewood is about as worst as it gets, only a few more steps until it's a warzone.

Speaking of which there is this taco truck in lakewood that sits at one of the basketball and soccer fields where all the mexicans are at alllll dayyyy long, and their tacos are fucking god.

In the land of pizza and wings, Buffalo surprisingly does not have a Papa Johns.

I have never bought a pizza in Camden, but now I might have to try.

At my college we had a partnership with Papa Johns my freshman and sophomore year where we could spend our school money on their pizza.. and that's the only reason I ate it. I don't mind chain pizza I just am not a fan of Papa Johns. I love Dominos, for whatever reason it's just usually the best quality around here. (South Jersey/Philly).

As far as non-chain pizza goes,

Lorenzo's on South Street in Philadelphia used to be incredible. Giant, giant slices that tasted delicious. However, I believe it changed owners over the years and isn't quite as good. Though, it is still better than a lot of the local places.

As far as Jersey pizza, shore pizza is as fine as it comes. Mack's in Wildwood and Mack and Manko's in Ocean City is so good.

off topic, but I heard that the place where the Buffalo Wing was born (in buffalo) actually has terrible Buffalo wings...true?

I'm still shocked by how much love Domino's is getting...It is just something I will never understand i guess...trying to explain to me why Domino's is good would be like me trying to describe the color blue to a blind man.

Im in Chicago, one of the epicenters of pizza, but contrary to popular belief we all dont rush to get deep dish pizza. In fact, people in chicago really only eat deep dish if they are having friends and family from out of town who havent tried it...i prefer the crispier crust pizza

Haven't had a good pizza that far west either. Lakewood, TR, Seaside(some places) and a few other areas have amazing places if you know where to go.

But it has turned out to be true for lakewood, the entirety of the town is already bad, and once you enter a dirty or just more dangerous looking place the quality of the food skyrockets.

When we walked up to that taco stand, we thought we were going to get stabbed, there were that many gangmembers/mexicans in that area staring at us... At least we are fire and not police, they seem to respect us more. Turned out the food was phenomenal.

Oh god, I just ordered dominos off their website and I love that little system in place. I'd just called in orders before, but that was actually pleasant to work with. :D (Plus the pizza isn't half bad. Better than pizza hut and it's cheaper.)

Thanks for the heads up. :3

That would be the Anchor Bar. They have good wings, but they are most definitely overrated. Most of the best pizza and wings in Buffalo come from local bars or pizza joints. It depends on what you like though. I know local places with amazing wings, but it depends on if you like saucy wings, or hot wings, or crispy wings. Usually, different places will have a different style, and sometimes people can't get past the usual taste of greasy crappy 'buffalo wings'. Also, little known fact, if they are called 'Buffalo Wings' and not 'Chicken Wings', they suck ass.

The pizza situation is pretty similar, since different places have different ways of preparing. If anyone even suggests ordering pizza around here from from Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Little Caesars they usually just get laughed at. It's not that their food is total crap, but it reminds me of buying food out of a vending machine. Buying pizza/wings/subs/whatever from a Mom and Pop joint, at least around here, is always the way to go.

If you really want some decent food, get an order of hot wings, grab a Beef on Weck with plenty of horseradish, and finish it off with some sponge candy for dessert. That is some good shit.

A: Delivery.com is the shit. I don't ever have to pick up the phone except for my doorman to tell me the food's here.

    B: Isosceles triangle pizza ftw

C: WOW YOU JERSEY PEOPLE ARE FUCKING DUMB. Come to Brooklyn and eat at any neighborhood pizzeria and tell me that your Jersey piece of shit pies are better. The only good pizza in Manhattan is Lombardi's, the rest of it is garbage. Right across the Brooklyn Bridge is Grimaldi's, some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. Spumoni Garden in Bensonhurst is even better. Jersey shore my ass...

I live in North Jersey, and my GF lives in NYC, so I have had more than my fair share of both. And though I would suppose it is a matter of personal opinion I would have to say that this is not true, not even by a long shot. NYC is all about knowing the right place. If you are ever in midtown give Mariella's on 57th and 8th a try just to name one.

Week ago I ordered Dominoes. My brother's wife ended up with someone's acrylic nail in her mouth. Needless to say, we'll never order from there again. I prefer Papa John's anyhow.
