Take that, context!

The ammunition it provides is amazing."Obviously, anxiety can be negative because if you have too much, you're paralyzed with fear," he says. "However, it also serves a very useful function in that it alerts us when we're making mistakes. If you don't experience anxiety when you make an error, what impetus do you have to change or improve your behaviour so you don't make the same mistakes again and again?"
edit: i'll go ahead and say it; mistakes like... believing in God? OHOHOHOHO
Oh you're fucking kidding me
just a shame brain activity has no correlation with...anything
After having read more articles in there, i'm kind of shocked. For example, this has been the first more positivist leaning site that doesn't actually outright say homosexuality is biological but that it has a modest factor embedded into genetics, and it even goes on to say that the current research is geared towards "normafying" heterosexuality and pigeon holing people into categories.
What i meant to say was, wow, very impressing. So anyone who thinks this site is out to get religious people or something, can calm down, after checking that site, they are most definitely not that kind of site.
ive read something once that said to the effect of: 98% of the population of the world believes in a higher deity of some form or another. The other 2% that do not believe in a deity comprise 98% of the smartest population of the world. I do not recall exactly where it read it, nor do i remember if it was credible or not, however it seems to fit well.![]()
Holy shit they have a site just full of graphs? Man oh man, watch out class discussion!
lol!
I predict many pages by tomorrow. As usual, neo gracing us w/ his presence and enlightening us w/ his "scientific expertise;" and blabbering about some made up bullshit. Also, I foresee Miz +1ing at the tone of lols and ^'s. Last, Kayla is gonna talk about his/hers vision of the universe and what it represents in the forms of maths and logics.
AHEM.
People are going to say god is real.
People are going to say he's not.
Neo is going to tell everyone to shut the fuck up.
End thread~
Does this apply to the God or all forms of higher deities?
Quick! Can I change my mind? Or is it too late?
Is this "Brain Activity" recoverable"
That 3% is a bit skewed. If you look at it in the same way as electoral votes are counted, with the most populous counties getting weighted higher than those out in the boonies of Alabama, then almost a quarter of Americans are unaffiliated with religion. To put it another way, almost a quarter of Americans with any sort of meaningful influence are unaffiliated with religion.
And according to wikipedia (I know..), "the percentage of non-religious people in Washington is the highest of any state". That, and the fact that our minimum wage applies even to tip jobs, means we are the most awesomest state. Except for our weather, but we can't have it all.

Washington is terrible.
