Also depends in your character name, in my experience.

I get more /tells on my main character starting with L, than on my alt char starting with R, and I know that my friend whose name starts with an A gets bogged down a lot more than both of mine combined!

reason could be that no one can create new characters on odin server...

wonder what the rmt scene is like on that server anyway because of the no new characters thing.

I get some sometimes. (Starts with a U, duh.) Seems others get them way more often than me though. Never got any until a month or two ago.

It's gotten ridiculous lately. I got spammed by the same person four times in 15 minutes last night. It was the only time I've GMed them about it. I'm tempted to just reply to them DIE DIE DIE fifty times in a row until they log off.

Fuck the RMT and fuck these annoying tells.

Haven't heard of any RMT activity as of late on Odin, but then again I'm never really anywhere near RMT activity as I don't know what they do or where they hang out. We used to have some kickass RMT back in the day though.

My LS and I were spammed by three different players during Dynamis-Beaucedine earlier about BROGAME. God it was annoying. Of course, replying to them in Pinyin insults got no response but I'm sure they understood it.

Pointless to report to GM now because all GM says they're handling the matter.

yeah it doesnt use your ffxi sound volumes but its always been plenty loud for me - but going out of room yeah you need to turn your volume up loud.

It uses the PlaySound Windows API which has no volume setting :3

you could open the dll with reshack, extract the .wav file, increase volume in sound recorder and reimport it.
Or just edit the <settings to point to paths to louder .wav's.

this leaves me with only one thought, is rmt spam really that bad on your servers...? ive NEVER gotten a tell on odin, only time i got tells were on other servers

They weren't originally, but in the past two months the number of people getting tells advertising RMT has, like, quadrupled. It's absolutely ridiculous.
