RNG merits question.

So, Rangers missed the 'Shit is situational' memo? I can totally see Recycle _OR_ Stealth Shot being useful depending on your play style.

Gonna agree with Seraph. I'm a RNG who meritted Recycle (though, I have 2 more left to put into RNG Group 2's, which will probably go to Stealth Shot.) Why did I merit Recycle? Easy. Until recently, my RNG was only used for 2 very specific things:

1 - Zerg fights, specifically DL whenever we did it
2 - Hitting Barrage on the first Time Extension in Dynamis-Xarcabard

For me, Stealth Shot was a waste. I wanted damage and a faster shot (ie, 1 Flashy Shot merit and full Snapshot), Enmity was never a concern. When we got an HNM, I honestly have better jobs to go to them than RNG (particularly since I am the TH4 whore for the shell.) Until Dark Ixion came about, my RNG saw limited (at best) use.

Now, things have changed, and Stealth Shot looks more appealing. Honestly, though, I don't want to merit Stealth Shot just for 1 mob. I mean, getting Flashy Shot for zergs is one thing (it makes sense), but I personally have better options than RNG for 90% of the mobs in the game. LIke I said, I will still get it (at least 2 merits are going in there, might bump that up if SE decides to make RNG more useful), but it is not a real priority for me.

So, yeah, shit is situational. And, yeah, RNG merits, for the most part, suck donkey balls. Just cap Rapid Shot and Snapshot, the rest are up to you and your situation.
