Just as planned.
about damn time, them baseball players could use better meds
God damn I love this President.
Hope this leads to being able to grow your own vital organs like the hearts etc. I'll probably be needing one in 30 odd years or so and the waiting list for transplant sucks.![]()
Yeah ok. What children will be harmed by using epidermal/subcutaneous stem cells from adults?

Whoosh?
Someone close that window...
That breeze was most cooling on my mustache. Please sir, cool me again.
Because Obama has been president for less than two months?
Bullshit ethics and religious fervor. Generally back woods delusional hicks telling other people what science can and can not do.
I am stoked at what can come of this. Wait until you see the great things Science can do for all of humanity in the coming months to years. Even people opposing it will be clamoring to save Grandma from Alzheimers riddles self! Science always wins in the end.
lol well done.
gobamaaaaaaaaaa
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE YES.

The wait for transplant wouldn't be so bad if they had some kind of priority system like other countries (besides money). I've been on the kidney transplant list since I was 18, 2 years later, they pretty much told me its going to be another 3 year wait. This wouldn't be so bad, except that there's only 2 factors for moving up the list, time and money. Oh, sorry, I don't have 500k$ to donate to bump myself up on the list. It wouldn't be such a bad wait if dialysis was a little more bearable. They should have some kind of separate list for young healthy people.

I say go ahead and help Grandma. However if they happen to be a politician and wanting some help of their own, just start pulling out the voting records. It could be a while before you could pop down to the doctor and buy a can of "Organ-Gro", if it even does get to that. There are some viable alternatives popping up that could be available sooner. I remember a while back there was a big deal because a group that had taken an animal's heart, dripped the equivalent of detergent through it so they would only be left with the clear gelatin structure, then seeded it with different cells. In the end they managed to get it functioning, after the cells had grown using the pre-made structure they were able to get it pumping. It was a ways away from being able to support a human ( I think it was a rat's heart), but definitely a step forward. I can't find the story for the life of me.
Edit: I lied, found it. Researchers Grow Rat Heart in Laboratory : NPR If you hadn't heard about it anyway.
good, now science can start saving lives again
