4? Just take like 5 in and ga3 them. BLM are useful in xarc anyway.
I'd say 6 BLM if they aren't well geared. Another option is to sac pull and only pull the two that matter ( the two that are up at start). Or, if you have a big group, have people kite one eye each, while you kill them one at a time. There is plenty of kiting room between this stage and the teleport vahzl stage, once you have killed the mobs that were here. Thf nin rdm can kite eyes easilly.
From personal experience 6-7 blm for gear/merits/resist reasons. But imo it is much faster and efficient to have 5 sam's to solo an eye each while other people assist them.
7 BLM + ES + thundaga will wipe all 3 eyes at any NM stage on a 100% basis, even if 7 of them are average BLMs
my current JP 18-20 man xarc LS is doing this as well, and w/o any eyes while fighting/kiting/sub tanking 3 NMs together, it sure is more relax and is a breeze.

and yea like the above says, BLM is useful in xarc anyway. make 2-3 of those DDs into a BLM wouldnt hurt
Yeah i was talking about the NM towers, we already thundaga the Time Extension eyes. How perfect does the timing have to be in order to not link the NMS?
5 Black Mages casting Thundaga III is enough with Elemental Seal, assuming you do 1 tower per 10+ minutes. Without Elemental Seal up, you'll need 6 or 7 Black Mages to be safe, and you should spread targets across all 3 eyes instead of all targeting one. You have about 2 seconds to kill them without linking the demons. However, if your Black Mages aren't synchronizing properly, they need more discipline, because that's going to cause wipes.
make sure that none of the blms try to be heros and come /rdm, it'll screw all the timed nukes up.
or they can all be /rdm and just watch where they are standing and not get hit by slow

dont mix lol that will be a little tough altho NM is still unable to claim the 2-3 sec they pop
but you never know because claim timer is random for every mob/nm ingame atm
Make sure to spread your blms out, like not all of them target the exact same eye. I usually try to split the blms up, half target the far left, half the far right. 4 may be enough, but if you decide to go with the bare minimum, you can end up wasting time if one of them is weakened, if you can kill the NMs before ES timer is back, you'd also have to wait on that. A cor in the blm party for the eyes is great.
ES should be up before every stage

It's pretty sad if you've gotten BLM to 75 and can't figure out how to time a nuke with different subjobs. No reason to ever /whm in dynamis anyway, though.
We've actually had NMs done and still 3-4 minutes before ES is up again quite a few times. (5BLM PT, melee Alliance, ~25-28 in the zone)
What we'll do is either wait it out if it's only a minute or two left, or just have the BLMs do their thing and immediately hit another -aga to finish the eyes if the first volley didn't kill them.
Just nuke then run away and let melees/other blms finish off any eyes that survive... can't imagine having to wait 10 minutes for every NM set...
Pretty much what Fur said; 5 Thundaga III's normally kills all three eyes, even leaving the NMs un-aggroing. 4 Thundaga III's has normally shown one or two survivng with between 1-5%, and that's if all four were unresisted which is uncommon w/o ES.
The way i do it , when low on members, 4 blm 1 sch weather from thunder to ice rotation, 4 AM2 overkills an eye, they have enough mp pool to kill them all in 1 go, burst2-->eye1 freze 2--->eye2 burst 2--> eye 3, is pretty quick and a lot safer than aga all when u are low on blms and is not ES dependant.
