The Last 2 weeks in places like Sky, Sea, and the Einherjar zone with a Name that starts with the letter C, I'm not far from the start before those gilbot /tells get banned. As such even I've noticed the downfall and poor economy.

    Even in ffxi...

    $33.99
    $34.99
    $36.99
    $38.99
    $39.99

Hell, 5% more Gilz for for using that retarded same Coupon code they've been annoying us with.

    BR74!

Someone want to be a hero?
Bomb or Hack Brogames or whatever they're called, the /tells are getting really annoying and I don't feel like having to use Chatmon again only to have it cause odd random crashes of windower(For me at least, I seem to be special, Recast goofs time to time).

I'm running out of ways to insult the bots back in /tells.

Sadly I think all the good hackers have been driven out.

Only way I see this happening, is if they stop the free accounts creating. Suspend it to see if that is the problem, and find a better way to implement it. Actually I haven't used it, but do they make you put in a credit card? I know some parts use credit card information (even though they are not paying) to verify age.

No, just basic information. Anything that could be easily spoofed or faked.

No, it's more like very very convenient for people who want to TRY the damn game without having to input CC information.

It's not Square's fault there's people who can take advantage of it, because you can guarantee if they implemented in a more lavish way there would be endless complaints because you know people have to complain about everything.

Why would anyone at BG complain if you had to enter a credit card to make a trial account? As it is now, any single person can create unlimited trial accounts, it's a pretty retarded setup.

And no, it's not really that convenient considering you still have to go through all bullshit of creating a PoL account with the trial reg code, put in a bunch of (fake) information, and create FFXI content IDs to play. The only step you skip with a trial account is the billing information, which is what, an extra minute to enter?

I will admit. The trial accounts are mighty useful for crafting mules/runners to AH/NPC while powercrafting.

The point is if someone is ignorant of security risks in technology that does not make them stupid. People constantly put themselves in situations where ignorance is detrimental, lack of knowledge does not mean someone lacks intelligence.

How do you know a situation is detrimental to you if you are ignorant of the dangers. Surely, if someone does know of the dangers and puts themselves in the position, they are stupid. However then they are no longer ignorant.

No, I'm pretty sure when my mother managed to download 10 different trojans and backdoor viruses, she was stupid. Ignorant, yes, but also stupid.

Do not underestimate how strange stupid people can be.

    XKCD comic:

The SecurID tag is a great thing, but someone somewhere will misuse it. Typical. Don't let them ruin it for the rest of us.

They are stupid because they choose to remain ignorant. If people physically have access to a functional computer connected to the Internet, and do not realize that there can be risks involved with its use, they are stupid. This goes back to that thread about sharing personal information (in that case, account information) over the internet. I might even go so far as to call them lazy, but clearly there are no stupid AND lazy people in this world.

We are talking about people with immediate easy access to modern technology, not natives living in the Amazon and seeing a computer for the first time.

You just agreed with him by distinguishing ignorance from stupidity. Of course you can't just leave it at that, you have to follow it up with another sentence that can be applied to yourself since by defining stupidity and distinguishing it from ignorance, you too are arguing semantics.

If that's the case, then anyone who has suffered the consequence of some action is stupid. By that claim, you're stupid if you get food poisoning because you put yourself in a situation (Buying the food) where your ignorance (Not knowing that it was cooked improperly because it's new to you) has consequences (You feeling ill). I'm not suggesting that you're wrong, I'm just pointing out the consequences of such a definition. See what I did there?

Edit: Seraph, according to what you say, anyone who tries something new for the first time is stupid since there would be no information beforehand to know know the ramifications of your actions. All the people who explore new content are stupid since they don't know the effects of their actions right? Also, you changed your definition of stupid. Argument about semantics? Yes. Sadly, you're the one who keeps bringing it up.

These days, any company worth its salt uses something like this for security.
