This is a great game that deserves its own thread.
I'm Loving it, 8 player Death Match ftw. My only regret: its stealing away my SFIV playtime.

Played the demo and this game seemed legit. I'm interested in it for sure, but since I have bought a bunch of games over the last two months I passed on this one for now . I'll prob grab it for a rental real soon though.
How is the 1 player campaign?
Campaign offline (and you can do campaign online co-op too) is the most fun I've had with a video game in a long time.
Gonna have to check this out.
i have this rented right now, its pretty fun on solo mission, the assistance off mode is pretty intense and seems like it will be pretty fun once i have it mastered completely.
other then that its pretty wicked!
I played the demo and didn't get into it all, but after reading here I'll definitely have to throw the game on my gamefly list.
Rented it on the ps3 with SIXAXIS controls and it is a LOT of fun. Like, idk aout the 360 but doing Assistance OFF stuff and, hell, playing the game in general with motion control is amazing. In fact, I wonder how bad Lair was before it got patched and if it was just retards playing it.
Being able to hop into co-op games are fun too.
Also to mention it supports the PS3 youtube post feature.
Here's an example of me kinda sucking kinda being good but mostly having fun!

That is indeed me playing with the SIXAXIS control. The actual process of uploading the video is very very easy. Took only 10 minutes with my sub-par connection, It actually takes longer for youtube to process the video half the time.
I'd actually buy the game if i wasnt broke >< I have a traffic ticket to pay off tomorrow ugh
After rewatching that I just remembered i was recording (part of) a **co-op** mission where the score was 47-some-odd to 14. The guy was probably doing it for the first time but i was definently not holding back :D
Only played the demo for a bit, but the Assistance off mode seriously pissed me off. Couldn't seem to aim properly, or even easily point myself in a direction. Automating half of the manoeuvering wasn't really fun. :/
Felt mostly like an (even more) arcadey version of Ace/Air Combat. Maybe I'll give it another shot when I get home.
How difficult is it to shake missiles fired at you?
That seems to be the make or break thing for dogfight games for me in the last few years.
You can actually set assistance off mode to be 100% controlled by yourself instead of being set at 90 degree angles. Plus, you just have to practice at it to get the drifting and such down.
YouTube - HAWX Recording Is me on the assistance training for the first time. I only recommend watching the first 2 minutes cause after that I start sucking <.<. But i'm good with it now so whatev.
As for the missions, the first couple arent the best yeah, but once you get farther, maybe mission 4 and beyond where you're doing escorts and ground strikes and crap like that, its starts to get really exciting.
Edit: ps3, sixais control, etc
Tried to play this when the Demo came out, shit wouldn't even start on my PC.
Maybe play with a joystick or ps3 motion control to increase the difficulty for you? lol
