    I smoke 2 packs a day, which in New Jersey is a 700 dollar a month habbit.

    Id like to try this. Or as someone said "the odouls of cigarettes" -- perhaps a non-nicotine cigarette that would help break the habbit.

    And to all those NON SMOKERS out there wondering what the hell keeps us so addicted;
    Its much more enjoyable to us than that 1 time you tried it and coughed/puked. It's been medically proven as stronger of a mental addiction than heroin.

    Chiming in to say this is correct. Personally I enjoyed heroin the one time I did it FAR more than I ever enjoyed smoking a cig, but thats a whole different topic.

    Well, I cant speak to the physical addiction of heroin - but, and oh god is this fun, to quote (sort of) Rick James:

    Nicotine is a hell of a drug.

    Am I just lucky for having never been addicted to cigarettes? I've been a two-pack-a-year smoker for nearly a decade now, and it's never been more than that. I'll go months without it, I'll have a couple when I'm drinking with friends, maybe again next weekend, then go a few more months. I never think about it outside of the random occasions when I do smoke. Am I just a freak? Because I've just plain never gotten addicted to them, and I don't know why.

    Pot, on the other hand, is supposed to be totally non-addictive and I nearly had to go to rehab to stop smoking it daily >_> I'm now a once-a-week pothead and that's fine with me.

    That's a personal addiction, a mental thing. That can't be predicted. Weed just isn't physically addictive.

    Somehow posting something here: Didn't post it, deleted what I wrote and put me in "What song are you listening to right now?". That was... awesome?

    Anywho, I said that these things usually cost around 2-300 dollars. But isn't terribly expensive compared to a month's worth of cigarettes. The refills cartridges are also relatively cheap iirc, not to mention your health.

    Not trying to troll or anything, but are these really that new? I swear I've seen them around for a while. That said, I did lol at what they quoted from the FDA. What claims are they making besides 'Here's a tube filled with nicotine'? I wonder if this is just going to lead to one of those bullshit studies where they spend tens of thousands of dollars to find out something people already know. Maybe if the companies just made a deal to buy nicotine from the tobacco companies this would all go away.

    Anyway, while I was looking up related stuff I did find some things I didn't know/didn't realize before. Like it being illegal to have tobacco ads on TV or radio? lol I didn't even realize I had never seen one. It is kind of strange considering how many alcohol ads you see. (Not bashing it or whatnot, I know it's bad for you too, but oh so yummy)

    I was just talking to my instructor about this the other day, she said she uses one at home. The upfront cost is a lot, she said she paid over $200, but when it averages out at the end she only pays $2.00 for a "pack" of cigarettes. She said it just has little cartridges you can buy that you load in, and they come with different flavors.

    idk, I am not a smoker myself, but that would be weird to me.

    Yeah, but how much "more" do you smoke since you got a "nicotine injector" w/u that can be used anywhere

    I asked her about it yesterday, and she says she only smokes the electric cigarette when she is at home because it has a battery and you have to charge it. While at school she smokes regular cigarettes... She said the battery only lasts like 5-6 hours so it is convenient to just use it at home. She likes it because it is smokeless. She said one cartridge is equal to one pack. I don't know how much she smokes though.
