Just got my QNIX 27 in the mail yesterday. Unboxed and loving it so far. I even took the risk of it being an "off grade" model to save $80. Looks perfect to me! Haven't played a game yet, but just from pc stuff the color and picture is amazing. I should have my cooler back from RMA on Monday. I hope to have pics of the completed new pc up by Wednesday. Can't wait!

For the monitor, ordered Monday around 4:30pm. Was on my doorstep at noon on Wednesday. This is with standard free shipping. I was truly amazed. http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-Evolution...2296903&sr=1-1

Nice! I just recently upgraded my monitor, too (got something else), but have yet to replace my HD7970. Looking out for a deal on a GPU between now and The Witcher 3 coming out.

With the current shitstorm mouth breathers are having over the 970 (for anyone who doesn't know about it, tldr is that it's 3.5GB card instead of 4GB), be on the lookout for a price drop or some cheap buys on used ones.

I think the new AMD series is supposed to come out soon as well? Krandor is right about a good possibility of a price drop to help with the fiasco of the 3.5gb thing. This makes me feel better about my 7990 purchase

Yeah AMD 300 series is around the corner.

All the people complaining about the 970 amuses me because I bet 90% of them would never even encounter the issue since very few games can push past 3.5GB at 1080p or even 1440p.

And this amuses me because so many people claim 4gb is now the standard period and anything less makes you an idiot. Goes along with the blanket statement 'games need multi-core and multi-threading(line of thinking as to why the Intel Pentium G3258 is a bad cpu for gaming, when it's actually extremely capable). In my opinion, it's a lot of people justifying their purchase.

2gb can handle games at 1600p at ultra as well, and there is no performance increase in having extra GB. You don't need it at 1440p, 1600p, 3440x1400. Only multi monitors and 4k which nothings really pushing well right now.

The two AMD cards I've owned over the years have both shit the bed on me in under a year (most recent being a 290x). Warranty etc, but that coupled with their driver issues has probably turned me off them for good.

I went AMD because I had heard such good things and was told they had exceeded Nvidia. I've got two 7800s that I've yet to be overwhelmed by and will prolly switch back to Nvidia when I can. I don't like Catalyst, don't like how hard it is to switch to Eyefinity and back, and don't think the drivers are that good (in particular for FFXIV). Just meh.

I am glad I switched to an Intel chip though.

Which 7800s? I use MSI afterburner for anything that I can. Only use CCC when I must. Have you tried the 14.12 Omega drivers? I've read they are supposed to be good, but haven't tested myself yet. I may build my new pc today or tomorrow even though I'm waiting on the cpu cooler and I/O shield still.

    I'm using two of these:

I enjoy the ability to run four monitors off them, and the eyefinity is sweet. But it is hard to switch from eyefinity back to individual monitors (I don't know if Nvidia's multi-monitor control is any better though).

Normally the FPS is great, but I get these lag/crashes (especially in Mor Dhona) where FPS crashes to nothing and then rebounds, and then over and over until it finally crashes.

It's happened on multiple versions of the driver. Although I suppose it could be hardware. I'm currently using the 14.12 Omega driver, and it's great except for the crashing....

Take a read at the links provided below. Maybe they will help as they seem to be directed at FFXIV and XF issues. I hope this helps!

Another possible useful tool is RadeonPro. I'll probably install on the new pc with the amd card. http://www.radeonpro.info/

Yeah, I've been holding out on a new GPU because of the 300 series coming soon and the whole 970 debacle. I just purchased the Dell P2715Q so... I'm going to need a nice card to hit 60 FPS.

That case makes me wish I had went with the red Phantom instead of the white with minimal red.
What are your temps with that H60? I have been wanting to get something for an i5-3570K to experiment with overclocking since I haven't seen any news on a K series equivalent for Skylake this year.

Idle with nothing running is around 32c. When running AIDA64 the average temp was around 70c peaking at 83c. While I think it's a good cooler, I honestly wish I would've either spent more on a real water cooler or spent less and either stuck with the CM 212 I was using on my old 3570k or went with a cheaper water cooler such as Cooler Master Seidon which is on sale RIGHT NOW for $29.99 after mail in rebate.

Damn, mine idles around the same with a stock fan. Did you overclock at all? Do you think the Cooler Master would be better than the Corsair?

Oh, forgot to mention about the OC. I'm running it at 4.6GHz at stock voltage. It booted at 4.7, but crashed quickly when running AIDA64. Before the OC, it idled around 20c iirc. It was very chill. Here is a post from tomshardware comparing the h60, evo, and seidon. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/35...r-master-hyper
