Our friends at Latino-Review are reporting another big Marvel casting rumor today saying that 42 star Chadwick Boseman is the studio's top choice to play Black Panther.

The choice makes sense for Marvel as Kevin Feige is known for going after up-and-coming actors and turning them into big stars. Chris Hemsworth is a perfect example of this. Getting actors at this stage in the game also allows Marvel to sign them up for multiple films on the cheap.

Boseman was fantastic in 42. He's a solid actor, and if he ends up landing the role of Black Panther, I think he'd be perfect for it. There's been no confirmation of the news. There's no deal set in place. He's just at the top of the studio's very short list.

Hulk 3 Might be part of Phase 3
The Avengers introduced us to a Hulk character that we all finally loved, and now we're all just waiting to see what Marvel ends up doing with him next. It's already been revealed that the next time we see him in action will be in The Avengers 2. But what about another solo Hulk movie? It's eventually going to happen, and Marvel president Kevin Feige revealed to EW that they are excited about exploring the solo Hulk movie options,

There's no script in the works or anything, but we are talking about it. All the Hulk energy right now is on Avengers 2, but Mark Ruffalo is signed up [for more films]. What we're excited about exploring and expanding is Mark - and Bruce Banner is not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of Hulk is his interaction with humans.
Maybe we'll see a new Hulk movie late in phase three or early in phase four of Marvel's master plan. We know that Ant-Man will definitely be a part of phase three, and I'm sure Marvel will end up officially announcing Doctor Strange and maybe Black Panther next.

Gremlins to be Remade, Beetlejuice Remake also goes Forward
Earlier this year, it was rumored that Warner Bros. was looking to remake the classic 1984 family horror film Gremlins. I never had a good feeling about this remake, as the first Steven Spielberg-produced and Joe Dante-directed film is a classic.

This movie should never be touched, but according to Bloody-Disgusting the Gremlins remake is officially moving forward and the studio has brought in Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Dark Shadows) to produce the movie alongside David Katzenberg. Smith also recently completed a draft for the studio’s Beetlejuice remake. I assume he'll write Gremlins as well, but it's not confirmed. I thought Dark Shadows had a terrible script, so I'm not the biggest fan of Smith's screenwriting skills. Just because he's written a couple of silly books obviously doesn't mean he's a good screenwriter. I'm not confident in his abilities.

The original story follows a boy who gets a pet Mogwai. There are three rules to follow for this new pet that he inadvertently breaks, and it unleashes a horde of hellish mischievous Gremlins who wreak havoc on a small town.

As soon as I saw the title, I knew it was going to be an Asylum movie. Effects looked a lot better than what they normally produce.

Christopher Nolan in Talks to Direct the Next Bond Film
Daily Mail writer Baz Bamigboye says Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are in talks with Christopher Nolan and his people for the 24th installment in the James Bond series. While it's still very early, Nolan might have a conflict issue as he is set to be filming his next big film Interstellar soon. That being said Nolan had no problem in directing both The Prestige and Inception between installments of his Dark Knight franchise. Speaking of Inception, Nolan was actually quoted in an article back in 2011 as saying the Bond films were a huge influence on the film and even went on to say this:

I’ve loved the Bond films since I was a kid. For me, they’re always about the expansiveness of cinema. The first Bond films set up infinite possibilities about the world they create. I’d love to do a Bond film.
With Sam Mendes officially out of the running, Nolan would be a worthy substitute to follow up Skyfall.

    Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
The world is turned upside down as one of earth’s greatest super heroes – Flash – wakes up devoid of his super powers in the all-new Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox – the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Original Animated Movies. Produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, this all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives July 30, 2013 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP), DVD ($19.98 SRP) and Digital Download. The Blu-ray™ Combo Pack will include UltraViolet™*.

When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.

“Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox has all the elements of another great film – dynamic forceful villains, treacherous twists and turns and internal tensions amongst heroes,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Home Video Vice President, Family, Animation and Partner Brands Marketing. “Showcasing a cast that brings together some of today’s popular primetime television actors with many fans’ favorite voices from the original series, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is proud to release this title as the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie.”

Primetime television stars Justin Chambers (Grey’s Anatomy) and Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy), the voices of Barry Allen/Flash and Thomas Wayne/Batman, respectively, unite with numerous greats of television and film to fashion the famed animated roles. Adding to the celebrity-laden voice cast and providing thrilling additions to the Justice League series are Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale, Friday Night Lights, Chronicle) as Cyborg, C. Thomas Howell (Southland, The Outsiders) as Thawne/Professor Zoom, Nathan Fillion (Castle) as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern,Ron Perlman (Hellboy) as Slade and Deathstroke, Dana Delany (Body of Proof) as Lois Lane, Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) as Aquaman, Danny Huston (Magic City) as General Lane, Sam Daly (The Office, The Daly Show) as Superman, and Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman.

Screenwriter Jim Krieg delivers an action-packed vision of the legendary comic book miniseries FLASHPOINT, by Geoff Johns & Andy Kubert, adding to the over 13 million DC Universe video units produced to date. Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns) is director and James Tucker (Superman: Unbound) is producer.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox Blu-ray™ has over three hours of exciting extra content, including:

A Flash in Time: Are there other dimensions? Can time travel get us there? And if The Flash existed, could he really travel through time? Interviews with experts in mythology, theoretical physics and top DC writers will examine the science and legacy of the storytelling behind the fiction.
My Favorite Villians! The Flash Bad Guys: Acclaimed DC Comics writer Geoff Johns and others share their favorite Flash villains in this short film that gives viewers a glimpse into the Flash’s world through the eyes of some of the nefarious characters he has encountered over the past 70 years!

A Sneak Peek at the next DC Universe animated movie:. An in-depth look into the next DC Animated feature film, spotlighting the cast and crew.

    Timecop Remake Announced
Universal Picture has decided to take the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme sci-fi action film Timecop and remake it. Why? I guess they thought they could do a better job this time around, and you know what? They're probably right.

Look, I enjoyed Timecop just as much as the next guy, but let's face it, the movie was far from perfect. I can see someone actually turning it into a better film. I know it's one of Van Damme's best and most successful movies, but it's not one of my favorites. It's just kind of ridiculous that Universal has resorted to remaking this film. I don't know how it can be any better than the Total Recall remake, and that movie bombed.

The original film was based on a story published by Dark Horse Comics, and it's set in the near future "where time travel is regulated by a police force, and one officer (Van Damme) runs afoul a crooked politician using time travel to further his political career."

The studio is currently looking at writers to take it on. Van Damme is not involved with the production.

Ubisoft to make movies based on Watch Dogs, Far Cry and Rabbids
After setting up three films at Twentieth Century Fox and Warner Bros., Ubisoft Motion Pictures is ready for phase two.

The film division of French game publisher Ubisoft plans to package “Watch Dogs,” “Far Cry” and “Rabbids” as its next trio of film projects it plans to set up in Hollywood.

Company recently packaged big screen adaptations of “Assassin’s Creed” and “Splinter Cell” at New Regency. Fox has already planted a flag on Memorial Day 2015 to release the “Assassins” film, which will star Michael Fassbender. “Splinter Cell” will star Tom Hardy. Both actors are also attached as producers. This week, Ubisoft announced that Michael Bay will develop “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon” into a potential film franchise at Warner Bros.

In the cases of “Watch Dogs,” “Far Cry” and “Rabbids,” Ubisoft will once again maintain creative control of the projects as they’re developed into movies. That means the division, under the direction of UMP CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet, will hire screenwriters, directors, cast and choose the production shingles and studios it wants to work with. Ubisoft will finance the devleopment of the scripts.

By doing that, “no one can tell us you have to do the movie a certain way,” Baronnet said.

Company is currently in talks with Frank Marshall (“Raiders of the Lost Ark,” the Jason Bourne series) and Basil Iwanyk (“Wrath of the Titans,” “The Town”) to serve as producers on “Assassin’s Creed” and “Splinter Cell,” respectively.

While “Far Cry” and “Rabbids” are already established tentpole game franchises for Ubisoft, “Watchdogs” has yet to be released. Game launches Nov. 19, but has been generating considerable buzz among the gaming community since last year’s E3.

Plan is to produce “Rabbids” as live action film featuring the mischievous bunnies in the game as CG characters, similar to “The Smurfs” or “Alvin and the Chipmunks.”

As opposed to other gamemakers who see a film as a marketing tool to sell more games, Ubisoft is treating its movies as standalone titles that feature new plots. They’re not meant to be retellings of what gamers have already played in the past.

“These are not adaptations,” Baronnet stresses. “We will create a brand new story. Always.”

To do that, Ubisoft Motion Pictures is working closely with Ubisoft’s various game studios to make sure there’s no overlap, while maintaining the DNA of the franchises, and helping them grow across various platforms.

That includes the marketing campaigns, with Baronnet planning on launching campaigns 18 months before a film’s release “to create bridges between the game and movie,” he said.

While it now has six game-based movies in development, Baronnet said he has no plans to adapt Ubisoft’s entire portfolio.

“Not every game will make a good movie, and for others it may be too early to turn into a movie,” he said.

The long talked about movie adaptation of Top Cow's The Darkness is back on track, and will feature the Witchblade. Source

The sun may have shined outside Comic-Con International: San Diego Saturday afternoon, but inside Room 9 at the “Twenty-one Years of Top Cow” panel it got dark. The California-based publisher just announced that the long-gestating movie adaptation of The Darkness is back on track with a script that sees none other than Sara Pezzini, the Witchblade, chasing the titular star Jackie Estacado. The Darkness feature film is being developed by New Regency, Mandeville and director Len Wiseman’s Sketch Films.

    Gran Turismo: The Movie
With Universal, DreamWorks and Legendary all laying claim to "fast car" franchises, Sony is wheeling its own onto the track, putting a feature adaptation of the bestselling video game "Gran Turismo" into development, TheWrap has learned.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti will steer the action movie, which is based on the popular Sony PlayStation game by Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Studios.

"Gran Turismo" is the single biggest franchise for PlayStation, having sold 70 million copies worldwide. Sony execs Elizabeth Cantillon, DeVon Franklin and Hannah Minghella will oversee the project for the studio.

With "The Fast and the Furious" becoming Universal's biggest franchise, other studios are waving the green flag. DreamWorks' "Need for Speed" stars Aaron Paul of "Breaking Bad" fame, while Legendary is eyeing Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Simon Crane to direct "Hot Wheels."

Like those movies, "Gran Turismo" also has name-brand recognition and will seek to distinguish itself from competitors in the marketplace. The newest game in the series, "Gran Turismo 6," is expected to be available for the PlayStation 3 later this year.
