To follow up on Pig it's actually getting really good reviews. Can't get the RottenTomatoes page to load atm, but it was sitting in the mid-90s last I saw.

Dang, 25 seasons? I know of this show but had no idea it's been around that long.

Final entry in the War for Cybertron (maybe-not-a) trilogy came out. It's about as disappointing as expected. It feels like they took too many ideas from various Transformers stories and lore and crammed them into a series that wasn't long enough.

Also, and this criticism can honestly be applied to most of the characters, the Beast Wars characters didn't have enough time in the spotlight, so they didn't really adhere to their original versions very well.

It's interesting because I would think there would be like diminishing returns for kids' shows. I don't have any kids myself but I would think an average kid would watch like 3-5 seasons of something before moving on. Are there kids out there that watch 25 seasons of anything?

Star Trek: The Next Generation has 178 episodes over 7 seasons, originally airing an episode a week, for half the year.
If you air them 1 episode a day in order (like H&I does), it will take you just under 6 months to finish the entire run.

Arthur will have 253 episodes by the end of it's run. The same airing schedule means they have most of a year to rerun episodes. Essentially, they can lock in a kid for a year before they move on to a higher age programming time slot.

Along these lines, as we learn new things as a whole we update our children's programming to try to teach these things. Pluto's not a planet, teach more religious/racial tolerance, incorporate technology to expose kids to it in a safe manner.

In what sounds like a 30 Rock joke but somehow is very real news: Tracy Morgan is set to star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in the Twins sequel Triplets as the duo’s long-lost brother.

In a statement to Deadline, director Ivan Reitman says:

“Twins was quite successful, and some years after, this whole thing started with Arnold meeting Eddie Murphy, and the suggestion came from one of them. It was, ‘I should be a triplet, that could be a very funny comedy.’ We started a script with Eddie, and after the success he had with Amazon Prime on Coming 2 America, he got himself booked up heavily. And we knew we were going to make it at the beginning of next year. I’d been good friends with Tracy Morgan for a long time and always thought he was one of the funniest men in the world. I thought he would make a terrific triplet, and we rewrote the whole script for him. Now, we’ll go out and try and put the money together and get it made.”

Does anybody here still watch SNL? I hadn't watched in a long time but I did last week and Billie Eilish hosted and I thought she killed it!

Loved that trailer for everything everywhere at once. Seems like an actual cool multiverse movie.

Ya I’ve been watching it. Ive actually gotten a lot of appreciation for it because Ive been listening to Conan O’Brien’s podcast. I didn’t really notice before how much talent goes through SNL.

But yeah! Billie was great! I liked the TikTok and the hotel sketch.
