Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to completely stop developing new scripted shows for both TNT and TBS, seemingly putting their existing scripted shows in a precarious position. What does it tell you about the future of Snowpiercer, for example, if the network it’s on is getting out of the “original series” business?

For now, Variety says it’s “apparently status quo” for the existing shows at TNT and TBS, which include the aforementioned Snowpiercer and the soon-to-be-ending Animal Kingdom at the former and The Last OG, Miracle Workers, Chad, and American Dad! at the latter (the fact that we’re talking about only six shows, not all of which would’ve survived 2022 anyway, says a lot about how things have been going at these networks even before the merger).

Another classic 1990s comedy is making a comeback. An animated revival of Married… with Children headlined by the original series’ stars Katey Sagal, Ed O’Neill, Christina Applegate and David Faustino is being pitched to networks and streamers and is getting strong interest, sources tell Deadline.

The new take on the 1987 Fox sitcom is written by Family Guy executive producer Alex Carter, who serves as showrunner. Sony Pictures Television, which owns and distributes the original series, has been working on the animated project for over a year and closed deals with the quartet of Married… with Children stars before taking it out.

While it is unclear yet where the animated Married… with Children would land, Fox, Hulu and Peacock are considered logical destinations.

Snowpiercer TV show (TNT) has been canceled and will end with season 4. The actors have been released from their contracts.

I'm not sure how I even made it to season 3, but I dropped out after a few episodes of that. Sean Bean hamming it up was sufficient for me to ignore not being able to stand like 90% of the other characters, but only for so long.

I didn't even think there would have been more story after season 3. It was p much an ending at that point.

I only kept watching the show because 1) Jennifer Connelly 2) already 2 seasons deep and it did enough not to derail completely, but fuck it was a mess.
