The Wii destroyed gaming. The Wii effectively marked the end of the Golden Age of gaming. Because of the Wii, gaming is no longer about getting the high score or reaching Level 255 or some astronomically high number. It's now about mindless "fun" without an objective, seasoned with artificial "content," or lack thereof.
Before the Wii, there were no such things as shovelwares. The gaming industry has always been defined by its best games, but thanks to the Wii, it's now defined by how well a shovelware sells. With trillions of copies of shit like Imagine Party Babiez being sold every day, good games will never be made again
The Wii also destroyed Nintendo. Nintendo was all about creating the best games and pleasing its loyal fanbase. They didn't care if their games sold a little as long as their fanbase was happy. Now it's about bullshit "experimentation" to draw in people that don't understand video games. They're also shitting out crappy accessories every day. We didn't have gimmicky pieces of plastic like the Wii Zapper being shat out every day by Nintendo so that they can rob us. And let's not forget casual games. Nintendo was all about hardcore games before they started making casual shovelware like Wii Music and Carnival Games. Tell me, can you name a casual Nintendo game that was made before 2006? Of course not.
You know what? Fuck Nintendo and fuck their "innovation." Their so-called "innovation" did nothing good for the world. Innovation is just an another word for "same shit we've seen before, only more marketable." Please, do yourself a favor and stop catering to these capitalist pigs. If you do, then you love having 6000 diamond-studded dicks up your ass every day. Leave video games to us professionals.
