You know, the 3 songs that got them on the radio.
First, I said pop-punk, not "post punk." Think Green Day. And no, I'm not saying they sound like Green Day, I'm saying Pablo Honey was in that vein.
I haven't given a shit since like... Talk Show Host. And whichever one Karma Police was on. Talking about Kid A, In Rainbows, whatever, doesn't pertain to this discussion-- they already made themselves rich rock stars by then.
I know this sounds fucking crazy, but did it ever occur to you that I'm just being honest? That perhaps I actually do still like the music, regardless of the ethical or moral lines behind it?
I know, honesty in a music argument is an alien concept to some fag that wants his way to be the "cool" way and will say anything to attempt to present it as such (i.e. 99.99999% of these dipshits that start massive arguments anytime someone says something about radiohead other than slurp slurp), but there really are people out there like myself that couldn't care less what kind of musical "integrity" people show as long as they make good music.
I still listen to Sugar fucking Ray almost every day. You know why? Because they made some great fucking music before Fly came out and made them rich and they made a few more albums trying to milk that cow. And guess what... it's still great music.
also, just lol @ people that can't grasp the concept of "this album had a couple songs that sounded different from the rest, those songs got popular, the rest didn't, and they decided to follow the money songs"
and here, since I really don't feel like being a big part of the 500 billionth internet radiohead argument, I'll even rephrase my statement
If they didn't want to be rich and famous, perhaps they shouldn't have chosen to make themselves rich and famous.
