    Arena question

First off, regarding arena: fuck it. Not that I dislike it, but it's like watching a Richard Simmons workout video - it just gets progressively more gay the longer you keep at it.

In all honesty though, I do find arena fun. I'm not much a pvper, and my goal atm is for my threes team (me (rogue), holy pally, TG war) to get back above 1500 (we're at like 1468 atm) and my two's team (holy paly, me (rogue still)) to...well, get back above 1500. 1650 would be nice for arena gear tbh, so that's my ultimate goal. I also don't know if Hateful or Deadly glad shit is the highest rank of arena gear currently. So if that gives you any perspective on how little I pvp, then good.

Two questions: one, how the fuck should rogue and holy pally function in a two's team? I just get facerolled by other rogues usually, and one was actually a fucking combat spec. Yeah, I feel like shit about that one. When I try and burst down the healer, I just get fucked up by the DPS. I'm doing 4-6 BGs a day to grab some more honor gear, I just need to deck myself out 'cause I'm running quite a few raid pieces. But shit like trinket, hateful glad's leather armor and deadly glad's legguards, hateful boots, hateful belt of triumph..think that's it. I'm doing VoA every week too, obviously, 10m and 25m but it's a bit slow going. We had four T7.5 druid drop from last week's 25man, fml.

Okay, second question is about team composition. There's one team that my threes group gets ASS RAPED by. It's not even a competition. It's a feral druid with fucktarded DPS, resto shammy with that fucking bane of my existence earth shield, and a ret pally. They're all about crowd control (cyclone, hex, repentance, bear stun) but they have the retarded DPS and the survivability to go on endlessly. There's no way we've come close to winning. Are we doing something wrong or is that team just a match made in heaven?

For the second questions drood/pally/shammy is a pretty good team composition, all can cc and heal so unless your team can outcc/outburst them then your fucked, thats a team that can go on living for a long time.

If you can catch the feral in a full duration KS while in cat form you might have a chance to burst him down. Forcing a trinket on the shaman early into a blind might lead to a kill on the druid or the paladin (if you have forced his bubble) you can also have a HoJ ready for the shaman if the blind duration isn't long enough.

Also without resil you WILL get raped by that team if you eat a single HoJ as a rogue. Shreds will be doing 20% more damage, likely being able to crit you for 10k with as low resil as you have, plus whatever the ret is throwing at you, and none of it being dodged.

Sap/blind/pally CC the healer off the bat--at the sub-1500 ranking, most people are stupid enough to blow their trinket on one of those rather than kidney shot, opening themselves wide up for a blind or pally CC. Regardless, keep the healer chain-CC'd; as a rogue if your target stays alive for more than 15 seconds without healer support, you were screwed to begin with.

Chain-CC the healer with both you and your partners' tools and the DPS will go down trivially. If you're facing a dual DPS team, do the same to the more defensive DPS and take out the other. When you find yourself the target of burst, have your holy pally bubble you, vanish, etc.

tl,dr: use all your CC's on the healer, not the DD. If you get focused, blow defensive cooldowns or vanish and hide like a bitch 'till their offensive bursts are over.

Dismantle is a Rogue's only defense after he's trinketed out of a CC.

Spec 41/5/25, with a healer get vile poisons instead of ruthlessness. DO NOT imp kidney. The questionable talents here are focused attacks, with a healer partner its great, but thats mainly with a priest.... most rogues skip it though and do 2/3 and 3/3 of both deadened nerves and find weakness. Less damage is win, I usually take 3/3 deadened and 2/3 find weakness. As for sub tree, I like the 3/3camo for quick stealthing if I can get away... for 2's I usually pick up serrated blades, but I've been trying initiative lately. All personal preference.

It's not all about burst. You need to live. Stack 600-700 resil if you can. Best PVE daggers you can get, and use titanium weapon chain enchants. If you are serious, pick up engineering and/or JC, the goggles, trinkets, glove feet enchant, lots of bonuses.

Both of you download proximo, and make sure the pally is quick with freedoms. Find out what you are facing, if you think there is another rogue, don't go too far from pally and pop sprint while spamming a sap macro (find one at arenajunkies.com) The trick is to find the other rogue first.

If it's not another rogue team, then just do your best to outlast them. Practice is what it takes, but you'll want to typically kill non-plate healers quickly. If you face pally+plate, it'll be a long fight, work on the holy pally and just try to disarm whenever you can. DISMANTLE PALLY HEALERS IF YOU ARE FOCUSING THEM.

You should be able to open with Cheapshot>Mut to a full point eviscerate(macro cold blood into it) and then work towards points for a kidney. Try not to get too itchy with kidney shot, in fact on a healer (clothy) it's typically amazing to vanish after that evis, and then cheapshot again, then use the points for the kidney. You dont want them to trinket the kidney, but if they do you can always vanish again. Make sure your pally stuns when is needed, and set up a good blind macro. Your pally friend should be able to live for a while, but that blind may come in handy on the dps on him - I've saved my priest in 3's from double dps so many times from a well timed blind on a dps I had focused while I was working on the healer.

USE YOUR BLIND it is such an overpowered form of CC and if it was on a shorter cooldown rogue would be the most broken class in game.

Don't be afraid to reset the fight.... Get away, Vanish, start over, your pally has ways to stop everything as well. If shit goes bad, your preperation gives you all the important cooldowns back, whereas the other team burnt all of theirs.

Bear druids suck, kill them before they go into bear. Don't let that CC break. Do alot of BG's to practice on classes. I do WSG and just solo people for fun all the time. Learn when they do things, how, and bring your paladin friend. Let him see that "this is when my cc is going to drop, and you need to hammer" and such. God oh god keep the druid from going bear and you win.

At that low of a rating, you should be able to solo a Shaman and druid healer easy. Ret pallys will hurt you, but if you can keep him away from the healer somehow, you can solo them no problem. I run rogue+mage, so I have to solo most classes while he cc's. Work on it. Hunters can be a bitch cause of the aimed shot debuff, but if you are wearing double would poison, you might be able to outdps their healers heals.

Get resil man, surviving is what most teams at that rating aren't made to do. They all want to burst. So let them burst, let them blow everything they've got. A lot of people think PVE gear is still OP in arena, so let them wear full sets. You have the talents along with resil to outlive them, and thats the key to winning in dps+healer team.

Hey, don't forget to pop evasion asap when a rogue gets on you, or any dps for that matter. Sometimes if you pass the rogue and see him through stealth, it's best to pop eva before fighting if you cant sap. Evasion can save you man. Please don't forget about deadly throw either lol, it's so effective.

FUCK deadly throw, god damn I knew I was forgetting something else. Thank you Boiyee, I'm copying that into an e-mail and sending it to myself, that's awesome. Also, expose armor? I want to use that, yes? Either on plate DPS or bear druids if they happen to go bear?

I absolutely shit on warriors and paladins with double wound poison, especially warriors. I have no need for expose armor on them.

My mage friend rapes DK's as well, so I don't even have expose armor on my bar. Now, Envenom, you want that on your bar. Warriors and pallys I can tear through with Evis and don't need it, but it would be helpful on others if you can remember to put on a deadly poison.
