I feel like the 2 episodes past the pilot have just expanded on the plots discussed in the pilot episodes without much new stuff.. next week looks better I hope

i agree, especially with last night's episode. nothing big really seemed to happen, the suspense/plot development seems to have plateaued this episode.

With how dismal the ratings have been on this I'm not going to be shocked when it gets killed within a few more episodes. I'm going to rage though because I love this show. Being moved to Saturday night pretty much seals it's fate.

Yeah they aren't even advertising it anymore... Apparently they originally were gonna get the ER slot on thursdays but the new president of programming or w/e liked Southland more and thought Kings was a silly premise...

It's a cable style show on broadcast that costs NBC a large amount of money per episode.

I know we have some people on BG who work in television. Can anyone explain the logic of every major network doing these mid-season breaks? With the short attention span most viewers have nowadays it seems like the most harmful thing you can do for a show trying to build an audience is take it off the air for weeks at a time.

This is especially true for NBC since you can no longer(at least on comcast) get their shows free on OnDemand, and some people still don't know Hulu exists.
