haha I thought it was just a "keep your enemies close" thing. Whenever he was nice to David, there was some hidden agenda.
I'm curious to see if they take that relationship any further. Some translations of the Bible make it sound like David and Jonathan(Jack) had a gay relationship. I couldn't see them doing that but who knows.
holy shit last night was epic.
Ah David's a fool.
this show is so good man, the writing is superb and acting overall has been steadily improving
why the fuck is it getting cancelled, WHYYYY
DAVID NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO why didn't you tell him ; ;.
Though, TBH that would be one TERRIFING moment.
Whether he told Silas or Michelle did, he was pretty screwed either way. While Silas made his own deal to save Michelle's life, she also made one and I don't see him taking to kindly to the idea she is breaking that promise that saved her.Spoiler: show
imo they could do away with the supernatural stuff and make the show even better
but alas, whatever they are doing, this is better tv than anything i've seen in a while
David was a fool for taking and keeping the pictures and a moron for not at least talking to the king about Michelle after he hurt his back
The way they do the supernatural stuff is very good though, its reminiscent of BSG or Lost. And after all it is telling a biblical story about man/men with divine mandate(s) so even as an agnostic leaning towards atheism I feel having an all knowing 'God' present makes the characters (Silas/David) that much more complex instead of just having Silas as a villain of sorts hoodwinking everybody including David into blind allegiance based on a God whose existence can't be proven (like real royalty does/did)
god that was gut wrenching at the end
Honestly, I love the show to death but I really don't see how they could pull the show for more than one season. I mean with the way things are going there will be nothing left to go on after the first season. So are we really missing anything with it being cancelled?
Ian McShane really makes the show and once he dies or would die I'm not sure I could stand watching a show with pretty boy David in the throne.
I'm going to fucking rage if the season(I guess series :/) finale isn't Silas taking his own life and David taking the throne.
