I really wish people who tip like crap knew how much even leaving a decent tip of 15% makes someone's day that much better. I'm currently a waiter working my way through college etc., same story. We make $2.13 an hour, after taxes on our claimed tips, 90% of the time that comes out to nothing anyways, so what we make is based entirely on our tips. If you're not going to tip, McDonalds is a half a block a way, enjoy your Big Mac. It is frustrating having to deal with people who have a sense of entitlement about them, where everything they need should be gotten immediately, and then don't think they have to tip because they're above it. If I directly made your meal unenjoyable, by all means leave nothing, but damnit if I work hard for you to enjoy your night out with the family/wife/GF, quit being stingy and leave a decent tip. As one poster above said, it should be a given cost of the experience, you should expect to tip, as you would in alot of situations where people provide a service.
*Beating a dead horse* Tip, for all our sakes.
