Write Protect
So today I was using my fiancee's camera to shoot some pictures for class, I get finished and head over to the computer lab only to turn it on to a screen that automatically goes to "write protect". I looked around online, but most of what I've found says that you need to do something to the card to actually put it in write protect mode, whereas mine just did it in between turning off the camera and turning it back on. I've also tried to find other troubleshooting, but nothing I've found states that this is something that can be done without doing something to the card. Is the card fried or what happened?
The camera is a Olympus Stylus 1010 10.1megapixel if that's relevant at all.

is there a little switch on the card? usually that is the cause. you can toy with the switch or just put a piece of tape over it to get it to work.

Only two things I can think of:
Check the SD card to make sure it is not locked, check the sensors on the card and make sure there are no dust or dirt particles.
