I could wear blue jeans and a white v neck the rest of my life if I did not have a job.

I am all for wearing what you want but you have to present yourself well at certain times. I am just glad in my job, for the moment, I can wear whatever I want.

Oh he didn't leave with Levi, he met his older brother and that girl he always talks to in MJ. He fucked Erin a two nights ago.

Back on topic, I am wanting to dress more business casual when I go out but I would stick out so bad. Plus I hate tucking in my shirt unless I have to.

not everyone is a corporate shill; overdressing for certain types of jobs would be more awkward than jeans and a t-shirt.

doesnt everybody have one or two pimp coordinated clothing set (business, business casual, awesome looking shit that costs a fuckton) and a ton of other shit they wear when hanging out with bros and sistas anyways?

i have 2 pants that were 70+ that goes along well when i wear business casual style, everything else is jeans, jeans, khakis and khakis (35-60).
shirt wise... a few formal wear (white/silver business shirts 15~30), lotsa white/black hoodies (25~40) and a fuckton of long sleeve/tshirts that all range from 5~15

personally i dont think i spend that much at all. i have like a shitload of cheap/resonably priced clothes and a couple luxury brands... ratio would be like 8:2.

I'm Brick Tamland. People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

You do realize you don't need to spend 1,000 on a pair of shoes, or a suit, to make it look nice right? You're mainly paying for brand name 1st and quality second. You just need to search for a company that fits you, all companies tailor to different styles of people. It might take longer to find something that fits/looks nice, but you can. Don't be a douche. Yes I overspend on clothes but who gives a shit if others don't, it does not make them poor or cheap, they just have priorities. Most people can make them selves look very professional without spending over $200. And yes I like to follow fashion a bit. /endrant, i hate when people rag on others for not spending money on clothes.

*edit* and christian audigier's shit is lame, his ed hardy crap, any 5 year old with a Bedazzler and some glitter can make a better looking hoody/shirt.

Band T-shirts, levi jeans, nike/converse shoes. I usually get my stuff cheap, or I'll just hit the thrift store and clean house.

    Jesus you are a moron.

I wear band shirts and jeans most of the time. I'm guessing that you wouldn't bet that I have been working as a scientist for the last 4.5 years at a quickly growing company, married, own a house and two cars, and a BS in physics, and don't make late payments on my bills. (edit: wait for the point before saying "lolRLcard")

Dressing the part, and being the part are two different things. I don't have to dress like a nerdy scientist just to be one. I wear what I want to. I'd rather prove to people that I'm a responsible individual, instead of associating with people who would incorrectly assume the opposite by what I'm wearing.

The company I work at we just wear khakis and a polo, not a lot different from places like Wal-Mart I guess. Everybody you see during the day wears them, and most of the higher ups do also. Sure, I wore a suit when interviewing, but even then most of the companies let you know all about their causal dress policy. I'm all for it. It's hard to get work done when you have to worry about whether or not you should put deodorant on your balls.

Out of work, just jeans and t-shirts/polos mainly. Brand doesn't really matter as long as it holds up. I mainly stick to solid color shirts since they tend to last longer for me, and nothing annoys me more than designs falling off. If I want to wear a label, I have a baseball cap. I do have a few t-shirts from tshirthell.com however >.>

Notice, I never said that you are what you wear. Obviously, you can be a completely responsible adult and wear whatever you want, just don't expect me to perceive you as one based solely upon appearance.

Grey pinstripe suit and a good tie to look classy. Levis and either a T-shirt, or a real shirt and a sweater the rest of the time. Shoes are black laceups for the suit, and either Dr. Martens or trainers for the jeans. It's mainly the DMs, but I can't drum wearing boots so I use the trainers for any occasion where I might have to hit things with sticks.

And on the other hand, don't expect me to perceive you as a responsible adult if you dress nice, either. You can't judge a book by its cover.

Whether you do it consciously or not, you judge someone by appearance to some degree. You're being too idealistic if you think it's possible to not take someone's appearance into account at all, and there's nothing wrong with judging someone by appearance. It's only wrong when you're an idiot about it and speak your mind about the first thing you think when you see someone - unless they're your friends/family, of course.
