go to college
Try security guard. There's your nights right there. With the economy going the way it is I imagine crime increasing, generating a demand for security guards.
Either that, or some super markets have night crews that stock the shelves overnights. I think that pays around what you are looking for.
Good luck.
^this. My coworker was telling me the he worked for Grocer Supply here in Houston, just look for the equivalent of that in your city. He told me the turnover rate was extremely high, due to people not being able to hand working as hard as they do. They generally start off at $12/hr. Also see if there's any hospital warehouses hiring. I currently work nights at one and love it. Shift differential, easy work, great benefits.
Wait, so Tiger Woods isn't black?
Look around for a evening retail rocker (receiving/truck unloader) position. It might not quite pay $10 in many places, but it's decent work and you don't usually interact with customers. Plus with all the physical activity you do, you can theoretically cancel your gym membership and "get paid to work out". I did this for like 2 years btw.. only part I hated was dealing with management bullshit.
FedEx/UPS are always options. There is a guy I go to school with, he has class from 8:30am-12:30pm, works from 6:00pm-10:00pm then goes BACK to work from 1:00am-6:00am. He works for FedEx.
Hmm, high school onry has limited your options quite a lot. If you "know" how to deal w/ people (by that I mean their actions won't affect you as much), then I guess work in restaurants like others have mentioned. But sometimes you'll deal w/ assholes like me who won't tip you for shit. Either that or a fast food joint but you'll get minimum wage. Last, good luck if you decide to work for UPS/FedEx; there's a reason why they're hiring all the time lol.
I work at UPS while im taking classes at the local community college. It's a great combination since UPS pays $1000 a semester, covering almost my entire bill. Though, it does indeed suck, you are treated like shit and expected to take it. I'm quitting when I transfer to a Uni.
$11.50/hour and free medical insurance is also good for being a part time job.
UPS is not that hard of work, if you can try to stay with unloading as LONG AS YOU CAN.
Loading is the dumbest shit, especially when the managers purposely throw 6-7 boxes that aren't supposed to be on your truck. They hope you catch it and if you don't they turn into dick wads.
Another very easy job is a pool cleaning service. I don't charge a lot, generally 20-30 bucks under the average pool cleaner, and I make about an extra 200-400 a month per pool.
and gamestop pays minimum wage for starting newbies
