Grandia 1 had a pretty good opening for its time.

Though I consider PSO's opener to be the best at accomplishing what it's meant to, I agree that the opening track to "Grandia" -- though it's best appreciated as the full version from the soundtrack -- is the finest single track encapsulation of a game's sense of adventure. My favorite RPG opening song of all time, certainly.

Wild Arms 3 was an awesome intro as mentioned earlier.

Street Fighter IVs opening is also probably the best I've seen in recent memory.

Capcom (or robot) always make great openings. SF is very well done, very artistic and the colours look amazing in HD. The only thing that ruined it was the gayass music during the first half :U
