So lastnight/thismorning I had a dream.

I was part of a goblin raiding party and we were on a cliff overlooking a human encampment. We were throwing tomatoes at them for lulz and they had no idea what the fuck was going on ("Why the fuck are tomatoes raining from the heavens?"). Then I was like dude, I bet I can hit that small girl and he bet me some of this gold we found that I couldnt. So I stand up and throw my best throw ever and I hit this small human girl, blonde hair, big eyes, pathetic weakling of a thing. Bullseye. And we were laughing our asses off when the human guards finally saw us and we ran away with our gold laughing.

It's either the whole duration or shortly after I can remember starting the dream.

Sleep-paralysis... is that when you try to move your body while you're half-asleep or during R.E.M, and you can't? Because that happens to me a lot. I'll wake up, reaaaaaaaaallllllllllyyyyyyy tired, and when I try to move it's almost physically impossible for like 5seconds. I remember I woke up with my blanket over my face and I felt like I was suffocating, and when I couldn't move I was freaking out.

Also, I love realizing that I'm in a dream. It's like GTA with your mind. ;D

I don't know if you call it anything besides lucid dreaming but fairly often in a dream at some point I'll realize that I'm dreaming but it doesn't change anything, kinda like I'm just watching a movie in first-person

i don't think my dreams necessarily mean anything, but i tend to have extremely long and detailed dreams. more often than not -- and i'm talking like 95/5 here -- they're disturbing and involve violence and/or death. i had one this morning after i went back to sleep for a while, and cliff's notes: the plot revolved around my husband being beaten damn near to death by a group of people. then i tried to do some reality checks to wake myself up, failed, had some freaky sleep-paralysis shit, and finally went back into the dream. i actually missed a lot of the dream progression, so when i got back i realized i had no memory of what had been going on and for all intents and purposes had been drugged/abducted/robbed. oh then the most disturbing shit happened when he started telling me the details of the beating and i saw it happen. it's not cool to watch someone punched in the torso until their insides are ruptured and visibly bleeding under their skin, then the assaulter(s) press on their ruined body until they vomit blood. i could fucking live without that shit. be grateful there's nothing for you to recall; this shit is every night for me.
