i think calling it a disease is probably not the most PC way to put it. i guess you don't have control over a disease, so that works, but i think the accepted way to frame it is as a naturally occurring difference in genetics. something along those lines. calling it a "disease" also implies that there is some kind of cure or treatment, even if we don't necessarily know the answer at this time. like AIDS or cancer or addiction.
