Internet Problems

well getting a POL-0019 when trying to log into POL,
"cannot connect to server, please check network settings"

also cant seem to browse certain websites like can not go to yahoo, google, see pics on BG atm or the weather channel but BG, KI, my school's website work


i did reset my modem and router

did an iprelease and renew

my isp is RoadRunner NYC

Sounds like certain ports are being blocked by something.

First check your computer's firewall and make sure it's allowing the programs to access the internet, especially if this is something you recently upgraded.

Second check your router's firewall and make sure it's not blocking the ports.

Third go ahead and set up port forwarding on your router with the necessary options for what you're trying to run and see if that helps.

Fourth, can you ping any of these sites? How about a tracert? Let us know the results.

Fifth, if you have a friend on the same ISP as you, are they having the same issues? If so, proceed to option six. If no, go try the other previous options again, the problem is likely with you.

Sixth, contact your ISP and see what they have to say about it.
