Can you get banhammered for turbo/speed switch controllers?

I haven't either. I wish they would tell us how they detect cheaters! I guess they could look at timestamps of your actions and see they are perfectly synchronized every time!

Ever since they put in claim block it's not like an autofire function on your controller is going to help you claim.

As for being jailed/banned for it not a chance. There's 0 way of them knowing whether it's a controller or you're really really fast and pounding buttons. I can easily tap for short periods as fast as a turbo controller, geez, not many people here play arcade games? FFXI may even have it built in that there's only so fast button repeats can happen.

What will get you banned though is if you took an autofire controller and tapped it down AFK to level enhancing magic or try to claim. That is against the rules and a GM might jail, suspend or ban you.

<- GoW2 player. Use to people trying to chainsaw me and i can out do turbo controlers :D But most games put a cap in on how fast you can input commands. Alot of these turbo controlers hit the cap at around 40%

I wouldn't be surprised if a highly energetic person could get buttons represses down to the 50ms range. Some of the slow buttons I've had timed were in the 80-120 ms range. I would assume a game controller is using a more sensitive button.

Over a certain speed I guess they decide as 'humanly possible' and the game stops. A friend of mine's sister actually tripped the 'turbo controller sensor' of Ocelot's in that scene. There was some minigame in an old Mario game I'm forgetting about that involved shooting turtle shells, the two of them got ridiculously quick at it...doesn't take but a rapid tensing/shaking of the hand to 'go turbo.' It can make your arm cramp if you do it for too long, but it's quite possible.

Yep, there is absolutely no way they can detect this. A "turbo" button doesn't do anything but spamming an input.

I must admit I used the turbo button for this scene . Too bad it gives a worse reward than if you just give up.
