Vaelastrasz the Raid Destroyer says hi.
Time Lapse says hi.
Twin Emps would too, if more than an average of 1 guild per server even got to them.
Dual modes is the way to go.
Don't want to farm easy content just so you can go back again and do it later?
Don't.
Go straight to heroic, arena and do other games and shit while normal modes are all there are. If you can't get through enough of heroic ICC in 258 gear to get geared up inside, then you can't do it in 264 gear, either.
Ruby and Emerald weapon were extra, optional bosses in the game. You could complete the entire game just fine without ever encountering them.
That'd just be like making a new OS3D for t10 content that only a handful of guilds could do.
Oh and single player games are entirely different from MMO's.
And Emerald weapon wasn't really difficult at all.
My favorite way of fighting Emerald was to have tons of mastered counterattack materia on each person. One laser attack that hit everyone resulted in 30-ish counters; it was awesome.
Wait, what? Oh right, bitching about shit being too easy for the casual player. I didn't play vanilla wow so I can't speak from experience, but it does seem like a good thing all around that players that aren't full of cutting-edge gear can do the same encounters as the upper end guilds. Maybe they need to offer better rewards for hard modes...will that stop the bitching? Probably not.
My random complaint about WoW atm....
lvling 40-60 is so boring. I hope that Cataclysm helps make the grind before Outlands much less boring. Alt-itus makes it worse when you got 3 toons all stuck between 40 and 42 and all their crafts capped at 300.
That is all.

Thank god I still have the old version of the client.
I don't get it. Then again, I manually install all my addons.
Apps that 'update' themselves, only to add shitty features like interface skinning (none of which look like windows buttons and menus) need to burn, and their programmers need to burn. What's worse is that the useful part of the app, namely the addon listing showing you which ones are out of date, has been cut in half visually, thanks to their brilliant idea of having two lines of text in every row. So yay where I could previously review thirteen addons, I can now see six.
Nothing about the update was critical. It was just a way to promote their crappy 4.0 revision.
Leveling from 10-58 is pretty boring to be honest. I'm hoping they redo every single quest and make them like WOTLK.
I would say optimized performance and speed is fairly important. It's been entirely rewritten to optimize performance, speed, and usability.
Amen. Nothing like going through a long quest chain on my rogue and end up having to pick between a blue shield or wand. Plus they need to get away from the back and forth questlines in the 50s. Its one of those things I hate where the quest is "Go to Un'goro and do this" then followed by sending you to Hinterlands then Winterspring and so on and so on. Just to get a piece of gear that isnt worth anything to your job.
At least with BC onward, quest rewards were more streamlined toward class roles rather than one or two pieces that maybe 10% of the jobs can put to use.
I also wonder if they revise the vanilla WoW quests in Catacylsm if the "older" quests done by players will go toward the Loremaster achievements....
No, I got Knights of the Round, or, I leveled my materia to the point where I could use some of more enjoyable chains, like Final Attack >> Phoenix.
That's a terrible analogy because FFVII is a broken game that is easily exploitable, as fun as it was. It's also a terrible analogy because the key to success in offline RPGs is often simply grinding in the woods until you out-level your opponent.
If you make 1 Anub and make him halfway, then he's too hard for some, and too easy for others, and everyone complains ANYWAY. Why not have two? One for the "casuals" and one for the "l337" and everyone gets their cake and the only ones who complain are those like you that would complain even -IF- your version was instituted.
Some people will just always complain. Period. That same guy that is complaining about being bored because he facerolled ToC would complain if the difficulty was ampted up because then he wouldn't be -able- to get his precious epix from a fight that was too hard.
Maybe it's just that my radeon hd 4870x2 and 4 gigs of ram on xp sp3 aren't enough, but performance isn't better. Just resizing the window causes unbelievable amounts of graphical tearing and happens at maybe 8 fps. I've had my say about the 'usability' upgrades. Hands down, going from 3 -> 4 was a massive downgrade in speed, performance and usability.
Pally raid buff on pet hitting every warriors and or hunters. It's freaking annoying.
Pets get buffs with specific classes, they should not be getting their own buffs, just clear that tab in PallyPower.
I believe it works:
Hunter pets = warriors
Death Knight pets = rogues
Warlock pets = warlock
Unless you're in a 10-man where you don't have a warrior or rogue just leave the pet tab clear.
Depends on lock pet if anything, my Felhunter doesn't get my buffs, nor does my Doomguard
I never thought about turning it off, I guess I will do that.I still wish pet would be listed with other job
another rant. Fucking achievement, it was so close

Aargh aargh aargh.
I queued for normal ToC to try to get Black Heart. It took ages for a healer to actually pop up and stay (why are you queuing for normal at 4000+ GS unless you want something there?). We slowly whittled our way through the instance and, lo and behold, Black Heart drops. Then the Death Knight and Druid rolled Need against me.
At this point, I should pause and point out that as a Protection Warrior, I was doing 40% of the party's damage. I almost wanted to ask the Holy Paladin to start DPSing just to speed things along because I wasn't taking much damage and the only hard part was Paletress because it took a good 5 minutes to kill her pet.
The Druid wins and realizes, "Shit, I should give this to the guy who deserves it," which he does. I thank him, leave the instance, and I don't have it. I have the confirmation message in my log, but no item. Fuck fuck fuck. So I've got a GM ticket open that won't be answered until sometime on fucking Thursday.
