We just made a hotfix that disables the siege damage dealt by Saronite Bombs and the Global Thermal Sapper Charge. The siege damage of the bombs was causing the Frozen Throne platform to rebuild, which greatly decreases the difficulty of the encounter.

We'll reenable the siege damage in a later update when the issue with the Frozen Throne is fixed.

I love how that shit happens all the time. Ensidia gets world first, then the encounter is found to be "broken" and blizzard puts a fix through that makes it more difficult.

The Lich King drops weapons with the SAME FUCKING SKIN as the rest of the instance? Holy shit I can't even comprehend how lazy that is.

Yes it seems this bug does relate to our kill. We had no idea that our Rogues using Saronite Bombs in their rotation (as they always do) was causing it and thusly it occured every try we did. Short version, we're not going to stop trying the boss when all we are doing is playing our normal game. It would be nice if these kinds of things, much the same as Holy Wrath on Anub, were tested before release.

It does make the fight easier, but we are 100% sure it would have died either way. It only affects one of the easier phases.

As a side note this only occured in 25 man.

They had no idea that it wasn't working right...i'm sure. Just like they didn't know using the flower buff on Hodir wasn't a bug.

queued 4 times by myself. first 3 times? incompetent DK tanks!

first group: dk drops because he has 32k hp (apparently that's not enough anymore?). rest of group follows suit.
second group: dk has 42k hp! healadin has 35k mana! dk dies on wave one because healadin didn't feel like healing more than 2k mana's worth.
third group: i don't even remember, whatever
fourth group: solid group, everyone seemed to know what to do! wave 1-3 goes well, then tank dies on wave 4 because priest got 'feared' and said he was lagging. warrior leaves because he's a butthurt little cunt (i assume) and then the rest go too.

fuck this, going to sleep.

Are you talking about Heroic or Normal? 'cause 32k Health is really low for an unbuffed tank in Heroic HoR. That place can really chew you up and spit you out. I had enough trouble just now running Normal HoR on my Warrior with 35k Health.

That said, you sound like you need a better battlegroup. Prior to leveling a tank, I can't remember the last time I had a bad group in the Frozen Halls instances. When I'm tanking, I prefer to just blame it on myself, but it's more often an undergeared (and unskilled) healer and I'm not overgeared enough to cover for it.

I'm ICC geared and my health can drop like a rock in there. I feel bad for up and coming people, it's rough even on the experienced sort.

i have 44k unbuffed and i'll probably drop group if i get HOR in a random. Tanking that is more annoying than anything i've done in ICC.

We got PP 25 to 5% on our best attempt tonight, couldn't quite keep it together. Some of the RNG in that is really irritating, malleable goo combined with volatile ooze adhesive just about obliterates someone if they happen to land in the same area.

Not to mention the random occurrences of "oh hi we're only going to give you one slime puddle so good luck getting 50 energy before the ooze pops k?"

Our execution is pretty solid at least. If we can just cut out the random bs we'll totally have it.
