ICC10 group. No wipe until fest, wipe once after a disconect, but we get it the 2nd try. We try rotface once, wipe, and people leave.
Dammit. I can't complain with 15 frost badges in 1-2 hours, but shit, whats wrong with people.

If you say so, Siniroth. 32k Health is barely meeting the gear requirement for Heroic HoR and you need a rather good healer to actually keep you alive even with much more health. Dunno about your experience, but the only time I get a good healer is when I'm doing something stupid like Halls of Stone, at which point I beg them to DPS or something. When I end up in the Frozen Halls or Trial of the Champion, I'm inevitably with some ungemmed, unenchanted fool wearing atrocious gear and sporting a 14k mana pool. I'm simply not good enough to cover for that deficit. If that makes me bad, so be it.
Oh, no, if you've got someone that bad you're not going to make it, but someone similarly (read: partially Naxx10/25 gear from back in the day, partially triumph emblem geared) geared should be able to do fine if you don't have idiots and target mobs in proper order (Priest >> Mage >> Merc >> Footmen >> Riflemen has never failed me when people listen to it)
"When people listen to it"... yeah, the only groups that listen when I call out that order (or that know it already) are the newbies still in quest and dungeon blues who are doing normal HoR for the first time. I really hate the cocky idiots who have been carried into their Triumph gear and think they're hot shit. I'm also getting tired of arguing with people that you cannot run behind Arthas on that damned gauntlet. I was lying about it being fixed for weeks, but now it is and I really don't want the repair bill because someone is out of touch.
For HoR I usually do priest > merc > mage > hunter > footy since its real easy to CC the mage and/or hunter if you have a priest / pala / hunter in your group. As paladin tank being able to stun/interrupt-lock the priest every wave helps a lot too since you can start quickly on those annoying mercs.
Actually they didn't one shot it, they went in with their alt raid first to get to know the encounter before doing it on their mains. Which is why the attempt system is flawed for the top guilds because they will always be able to do this on easy modes.
My guilds ranged dps complaining when having to move to bite someone in melee and telling them to move to them instead, only for them to fuck up anyways and get MC'd. The one try where i got bitten all melee dps anhilated them in dps and the tactics changed only for them to complain about it. I fucking hate people who only tunnel vision into their own dps on recount.
irregardless, every top guild has seen the encounter across multiple characters on 10's. If their main raid killed it with 20/20 attempts remaining, it's a OHK, no matter how you cut it. Ensidia had the chance to do the 25's raid on their alts. Same for all of the guilds in the race for it.
There are a lot more flaws than that. Blizzard has pretty much said at this point that they don't care, either. Only a small portion of their customer base does 25 man raids, fewer still do current content Heroic 25s, but either those few raiders never shut up or they've got a legion of fanboys achieving the same effect with the perpetual noise on various forums. It sorta makes me look "fondly" at FFXI where one can reach a point (via coordination and skill moreso than gear level) that you can start reducing the size of a necessary kill group. Before Cataclysm comes out, I highly doubt we'll see a 5-man group take on ToC10, but it isn't inconceivable to take 3-4 level 75s in Vana'diel and down some of the gods up in sky. One can't really claim that gear has advanced phenomenally in that game, either, as it is largely perpetual sidegrades except with the addition of more Haste to practically every slot.
I dunno, I've just had trouble finding even 9 other people to raid with consistently. I am not saying that WoW needs 5-man raids, 'cause that'd just be silly, so I guess I'm mostly irritated at how hard it is to get some reliable people together and go kill dragons.
Each to their own how they see this then, for me i see it as they wiped 20 times to learn their tactics and did it on their 21st. It is fairly obvious that if they went in without doing it on their alts it wouldn't have been a one shot in their main raid, i don't think anyone would expect this of anyone on an encounter that no one has seen before.
But like i said you see it one way, i see it another.
I wouldn't try HoR with 33k.. not even with a solid guild healer.
And rogues first makes it far easier, at least as prot war(esp. since i can keep casters on lockdown by myself). Another thing that makes it easier is having a paladin and dk as dps, for consecrate and D&D/deathgrip/strangulate, plus the fact they wont die in 1 shot like rogues or clothies.
Anyone else having issues with their quest log? Mine isnt updating when I flag new quests or finish quests I was working on. I thought it might have been QuestHelper but I turned that off and it is still occuring.
Setting up a pug VoA 25 on my paladin alt and tanking it, we kill the new boss and it drops x2 Hunter pvp gloves and x1 Hunter pvp pants...
My main is a 2.4k rated hunter. I hate this fucking game.
You'd need a pretty special setup for the dispel mechanics required of both Jaraxxus and Faction Champs to push through ToC10 even with awesome gear on 5 people.
