Am I the only one that had a problem with charms last night?
On main-spec, I did the quest in Crystalsong Forest, and my chat log said two charms dropped, but my inventory never showed them.
Then, I went to farm frenzyhearts while doing some Oracle's dailies, and I swear I killed 100 mobs without a single charm dropping, both main and off-spec. Neither single-target nor dot nor aoe damage kills got me a charm.
Guildie said she was getting them in hVH, but I didn't try more than the mobs in Sholazar.
Jaraxxus is the weekly.
I pugged it on my druid. And by pugged it, I mean we wiped to Gormok, because nobody could kill snobolds. Not one. Seriously. Then when the tank goes down because both me and the other healer have snobolds nobody's doing anything about, and I brez the tank, I get yelled at by a rogue for not having the glyph of rebirth(!!!).
So we try one more time, with the rogue still on my back about not having the glyph of rebirth, and maybe I could go get it, because you know. Tanks are expected to drop left and right in fucking ToC10, and obviously glyphs concerning my healing spells are less worth than the Glyph of motherfucking Rebirth. During the second attempt, nobody's killing snobolds - still - and by the time we get to Acidmaw and Dreadscale, there are four snobolds ate full health on screaming melee, I'm the last healer alive, and since the tank keeps demanding to "keep me alive keep me alive i can do it!" I spam heals, eventually of course run out of mana with Innervate on CD, and it's over. Then I get a whisper from the same rogue, saying, "I never run out of mana on my druid."
Not surprisingly, the group fell apart within seconds of that.
Welcome to Grizzly Hills, where Glyph of Rebirth is required for ToC10 and we fail at Gormok.
I wish I hadn't missed the guild runs of the weekly. -.-
You don't have Glyph of Rebirth? gimp
I didn't even know there was a Glyph of Rebirth. At least some of the more obscure Priest ability glyphs, like Glyph of Improved Death, are still useful enough to be known.
when jarraxus was weekly for me i pugged it. Went in with 1 tank 2 healers, and a hunter tanked the inground worm. Face rolled everything in 5 mins.
I guess i'll complain then. Everyone in random dungeons are so unpleasant. Don't even say hi when i say hello when you first enter. If i don't start pulling in the first 10 sec, everyone goes gogogogo. They all immediately drop without saying anything when you're done. All of it just seems so unpleasant.
Yeah, the only thing I usually say in random heroics is "Thanks" at the end.
I say 'hi' and 'thanks for group'
Beyond that, I'm not a conversationalist![]()
I get the "WHY DONT YOU LET ME TANK" or "Seems like you didn't need a tank" or "Want me to switch to dps gear?" or "LET THE TANK GET AGGRO FIRST" etc.
Sometimes I 'forget' to use TotT just to see if a tank complains
Or I'm on my lock and ignore all concepts of threat and just destroy random ranged targets on lower instances, it's cute when they taunt it and do nothing else
Pshaw, rogues should just tott me for the extra dips. Things dying faster = less need to retain threat imo![]()
I have a bad habit of just targetting a random member in grid when I use it, I've killed more than one healer by accident, I've gotten better at avoiding blue or white boxes (shamans or priests)
I've stopped wasting my breath on this kind of response, but I'm damn sure to rub in the fact that opening with DS/lolstorm/etc is what got them killed if they do happen to die >.>
I make every effort to taunt and threat dump things that get loose of course but if even one of the dps are geared and start focusing something I'm not (which includes what I may HAVE BEEN focusing, mind you), I lose it rather quickly.
I like to ninja my way into DPS gear for most heroics to help, tons more AP and crit that way. I start in full tank so healer doesn't knee-jerk at the hp value and then swap gear out for dps pieces lol. I have the advantage of bear form to hide the actual gear swaps though so it would take someone watching my raw hp value to see it happen.
Only heroics I stick in full tank armor for anymore are the ICCs just because of how fast burst damage can stack up if you get an unlucky streak or have a healer who's stoned off his rocker.
Dear Moonkin Druid From Last Night,
If you only had 20 minutes, you shouldn't have accepted the PUG invite. Don't add stress to my dungeon crawl just because your GM is yelling at you. You weren't the tank, you shouldn't have pulled every god damn set of mobs. If I spent more mana on healing you than the tank (who was a damn DK), then there was a problem.
I do appreciate your fervor in maximizing the speed of our crawls, but you didn't have the little shield next to your picture, so you were not the tank. The tank was competent, you just added frustration.
Sincerely,
Actorious
--- it wasn't anything horrible, just Pinnacle. But we had a death during the pre-Gortok pulls, and that pissed me off. I was rez'ing the Rogue, and the damn Boomkin unloads on the Worgen, and was promptly dropped to 5% health. It's not something I enjoy seeing mid-rez. The moron never let the tank get a chance to gather threat on any large pull, and it made the raid more frustrating for everyone.
I'm all about speed, but not if it means raising my blood pressure over an idiot dps.
Because I'll rarely see them again and because I know people in my battlegroup will try to pull as fast as they can reasonably manage, I really don't bother with conversation. I'll say hello if someone else does, I'll occasionally ask if someone has not done the instance before (mostly Frozen Halls stuff), but I'd prefer not to build a complex rapport with Randomperson-Ysera/Thrall/Turaylon/etc. until I have a good chance of actually talking to that person again.
Lately, I've taken to running some guildies through with my tank, so they get a quick queue and know that they have a decent tank. The problem is, well, I'm only "decent." They, on the other hand, are in ICC25 gear. It's a mercy they're really good and I'm glad that I'm not doing the most DPS in my groups as a fully defensive Prot Warrior (I keep saying I should get some DPS gear but I never do), but it is nerve-wracking to be trying to keep aggro as they go nuts. Still, it's all in good fun.
I get dropped into my daily random on my paladin, and it's nexus. Obviously easy enough, and it's a quick 7 badges. I get in there, and i get a druid with 27k mana buffed. I start pulling and they start DPSing in caster form because I'm taking like no damage.
So I start chain pulling for their benefit, DPS can catch up whenever. Eventually the druid gets mad at me for chain pulling because "Hey, you don't have enough gear to be chain pulling guy, stop it" No one's died, no one has come close to dying, and we're going to beat the random timer by 5min flat.
It makes no sense that they're going to complain because I made them actually not bored, and we're going through the dungeon like mad men. =(
