Was doing heroic VH for daily and got an awesome DK. His DPS on the bosses was 1100->800->400, and the healer did more damage than him on the last boss. How can people be so bad at this game :'

Apparently Uld 10man hard modes require ICC25man gear now? Was told my priest, who has been lvl 80 for 3 days doesn't have enough achievements/gearscore for Uld. Even though she's in Full T9 badge/heroic gear. Shit I remember doing those fucking hardmodes on my DK in some naxx gear.

Better question, how can people do less dps in full T9 gear then I can at lvl 75 in blues? >_<

FUUUUUUUU I finally get to do ICC10 on my Mage and Frost Needle drops. Ofcourse it goes to a fucking 71/0/0 Arcane Mage who does half my dps and gems fucking Stamina in blue sockets. Worst of all is that she is from my guild (it was an alt run with my social guild) and she logs in like once or twice a month.

In the same run the fucking tank mace drops obviously when I'm not on my pala tank for once and goes to a tank who I can't stand and who sucks badly. I'm surprised that after the wipefest we had at Marrowgar that we at least managed to kill Deathwhisper and lolGunship before calling it a night. And I'm even more surprised that the offhand from Deathwhisper didn't drop to the fucking retard mage and the Shield didn't drop from Gunship chest to the retard tank.

The looking for raid browser. No one use it and it's annoying because camping dalaran for PUG take forever.

I wish you could at least see people gears from anywhere with it, maybe people would start using it, and you could do random stuff while lf a raid.

Everything's based off hk honor, so 2x hk honor but 50% of the end number results in the same.

Like, say 300 honor for a kill, wg quest gives 11 kills, so 3300 honor. Now, 600 honor for a kill, wg quest gives 11 kills, 6600 honor, but it's halved, so still 3300 honor.

On a typical tuesday WG though I'd average 13k honor, 12k of that from the weekly quests.
On a tuesday once that patch hits the same tuesday nets me 8k honor.

I weep for my free epic gem tuesdays, and any changes to BGs have been impossible to predict. I expect a flood of crap pvpers in AB the first holiday then the usual ghost town of popping queues at 400-1400 where everyone just ragequit.

WG quests don't reward honor in the form of honor.

They award honor in the form of HK credit.

HK's are now worth twice as much.

This would make WG quests worth twice as much, so they halved them.

They're now worth... exactly the same. But you'll get twice as much from kills.

And twice as much from bg objectives.

Maybe I'm being dense, but destroying siege weapons/towers and capping workshops in WG grant HK conversions?

Yeah it's a net win all around, you lose nothing from the objective-based rewards and gain more from the kills made in the process.

Edit: I don't know what specifically gives the gains but it's gotta be something, every now and again in wintergrasp I see little honor popups for 50/100/500

Yeah I never notice the incidental honor flying by since people/things die so quickly in WG. Perhaps I had underestimated the total count of HK actions going on.

everything in pvp uses hk conversions

flag caps in wsg, point milestones in ab/eots, tower/boss kills/remaining in av, etc. etc.

and all of it is being doubled, except wg quests, which will remain the same as before



and then, apparently there's a direct conversion of honor gained into exp gained, and they didn't want to double the exp gain, so they "halved" the conversion to keep it the same as before

I'm trying to be as clear as possible about this. Anytime you are awarded Honor for anything, the game is actually giving you an amount of Honor based on an Honorable Kill conversion rate. This is why when I explained the rewards for participating in Random Battlegrounds in my original post, I told you that you would get Z number of Honorable Kills worth of Honor.

So as for the Wintergrasp weekly quests, look at it like this:


* Each Wintergrasp quest rewards you with Z number of Honorable Kills worth of Honor.

* Because we are increasing the amount of Honor an Honorable Kill awards players by 100%, these quests would then provide Z x 2 number of Honorable Kills worth of Honor.

* We don't want to double the Honor rewards players receive from the quests, so we are cutting the number of Honorable Kills worth of Honor you will receive for each Wintergrasp quest in half.

* The net result is no change to the total amount of Honor you will receive when completing each Wintergrasp quest. You will, however, get twice as much Honor for each objective you complete and each Honorable Kill you earn.

at least on the WG side of things. I still cringe in learned reflex to BG changes, as this always spurs a fresh wave of new, if untalented, interest, followed by a harsh reality check of 'oh my god people suck at pvp' and ridiculous queues as the tide washes back. AV premades are going to be interesting.

So I join a H UP for my daily on my warrior (prot in mostly dps gear, lolz!) and the run is already in progress. We're actually only a pull in, but both tank and healer just came in. I always have to wonder why this is. A few pulls I realize why, the mage and the priest are afk. The mage is afk at the start of the zone, the priest is afk 30 yards behind the pack. He just follows along, doing no damage. He did buff me, he also talked after we kicked the mage. We cleared the entire hallway and did Svala Sorrowgrave, the priest had done 146 damage in this time, a melee attack.

Mage and priest were from the same realm, so I'm betting this guy queue'd together, lets one of his toons get kicked and then afk /follow's on the other guy because you apparently can only kick one person per group. I could only kick the mage and it wouldn't let anyone else kick the priest, including the new dps replacement.

For one, what the fuck why would you do this? The guy obviously wasn't afk, so why wasn't be playing his toon? For two, why the fuck can't I kick this douchebag?

The "no 2 kicks" rule is such bullshit, especially since you have to kick people if they dc for a long time.

Had one not to long ago where we had to ditch a dc'd healer, and the new druid came in and cried for 5 minutes about how he wanted wisdom instead of kings, then just went and sat in a town when he didn't get wisdom.

Can't do a damn thing about it, forced to either quit or finish the dungeon with 4 people and reward his massive douchebaggery/retardation by giving him a free daily.
