lunar fest has added a new wrinkle, people clearing to an elder then bailing. Happened to me today in HoS.

My Lunar Festival issues with random heroics was people refusing to go out of the way for some of the Elders in the instances. HoS in particular cause the Elder inside is in a section I see most PUGs skip. After getting in queue for just HoS, it would annoy the fuck out of me when I would get straight ignored about getting the Elder. Even had one guy yell at me saying "PUGs are not for achievements."

In the end, I got the elder one run when the tank needed it and went that way anyways. And of course, the 5k+ GS healer was QQ'ing that it wasted time. Go figure.

Here's my line to the people who bitch about going along to other bosses, particularly when there's a side objective involved: the entire dungeon takes less time than the dungeon cooldown (barring an extreme few cases). You can either come with us and get it done quickly, or bail and wait ANOTHER 15 minutes (about to be 30 lolol) to get another group who's no more or less likely to attempt your brand of fast-lane dungeon crawling than we were.

I dont see why people get so butthurt about doing all the bosses. Unless the mob is totally out of the way (which is rare), why not just kill it and get another emblem? After all, thats why most of you are there right? Some of the snobbery elitism I see sometimes is ridiculous. It just amazes me how grumpy people get over some of the most asinine things.

It's a full 5min fight of the same useless trash, never make an encounter like that again please, thanks. If I'm on a toon that needs the emblems I'll go do Maiden as it's like 2 pulls to get to her, but far too much work involved in the rock guy.

You can reach the rock guy in 4 pulls (2-3 if you're ballsy/fast about the channeling dudes) and most groups now kill him before he gets a single shatter out. >.>

Like 5 out of the last 6 times I've fought the guy he's killed before the shatter goes off but he gets the debuff off so everyone gets stunned for 30s, lol.

The server lag holding back progression... it was worse on a sunday/monday raid night then on a Tuesday night with new content!

this has fucked over many a plageworks run in my PUGs. Healers unable to cleanse infections, explosions not happening on time, getting hit by ground AoE because the server hasn't updated your position, etc.

Staying out of fire is impossible against the Lag Boss.

I'd really like to know why people suck so much in VoA. I've gotten into a lot of successful PUGs that have cleared content that actually presents a meaningful challenge. Then I join a VoA10 and only two people have a lower GS than me (by which I mean: these people are plenty geared) and I'm #1 on damage in spite of the hybrid tax. I know I'm not this good. I don't even go nuts with potions and the like because it's not a serious encounter, but surely players in ICC25 gear should be pushing a baseline efficiency that would let them exceed my damage, even disregarding that I can steal a little extra DPS by having DOTs on Koralon and a Frozen Orb at one.

So my warrior is still using a blue shield (from heroic Nexus) so I figure I'd give normal HoR a run or two at that shield. Get a group after just a few minutes and get going. Get to the first boss without an issue, paladin healer is standing right next to the boss as he becomes active, hitting the paladin instantly. I get there and hit the boss before the 2nd hit goes off but the paladin then stands there not healing himself. And the fear/damage move goes off about 15s later and the paladin dies since he's still at 2k health.

He then drops group and here I am waiting for a healer to show up in queue. QQ

I sympathize, Eaglestrike. Just get a Titanium Shield Wall or Royal Crest of Lordaeron and to hell with Splintered Door of the Citadel. Unless you form a guild group to farm HoR, you're gonna get baddies constantly.

Heh, after a few issues I actually just got a pretty solid group and shield dropped, ret pally didn't ninja, so 1/1, pretty happy with how it worked out.

That said, HoR isn't hard, I've now tanked it as pally, druid and warrior and I'm not certain being a pally makes it any easier, I'm just most geared/comfortable as it. I think it's easiest as a warrior, really...

And the answer is "No." Except for Splintered Door of the Citadel and, uh, a tanking cape... is there anything in normal HoR that players would want over what they could pick up with Emblems or in other instances?

From the looks of it there's a 219 weapon for just about anyone (at least casters and most melee) from Lich King. You can't spam H ToC or the 3.3 Heroics for a weapon, so that's probably the best place to spam for a weapon.

And that comment wasn't about HoR specifically. Just there's this general assumption that warrior tanking is hard mode and paladin tanking is easy mode. Total BS. Each tank has their advantages, druid has the most room for QQing, everyone else can stfu.

The other 4 people are Italian and do not speak English. At all. We wipe twice before we kill the first boss because apparently RF for Protadin is not necessary for this protalian. We finally kill the first boss, and then I try to tell them that I'll vanish the next group so that we can skip 5mins and just kill Hadranox the bugged/achievement way. Nope. Proladin pulls the group and we wipe because the healer was afk. looooooooool

When we come back, I again say, HEY, I'M GONNA VANISH THIS SHIT SO WE CAN GO KILL THE BOSS OKAY? So I did it, vanished them, and was waiting at Hadranox's spawn and the paladin comes down. Just the paladin. The rest of the group stayed up top ^____^ Hadronox spawns, we try to duo it, paladin says fuck that, bails down the hole and I'm stuck with an angry ass spider and no evasion or vanish. So I ghost and run back in to find the shaman dead from trying to train the adds that repopped by now, and the mobs running after everyone else. We're finally all alive and I'm like for fuck's sake. Let's just kill the mobs since you fucking morons can't stand to do anything correctly or *gasp* listen to simple fucking instructions. But wait, where's the paladin? He's trying to solo the 2 mobs before Anub. Trying, but failing. He dies, bitches in ITALIAN CAPS LOCKS CUZ SHIT YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and the entire group rage quits one at a time. Fuck you Hakkar-EU server, fuck you so much.

Your server must fail hard if killing Marrowgar in ICC10 is difficult. I mean, I've been in raids that can fail at it, but he's such a laughable boss unless you're stupid enough to stand still while he burns you.

Well, I'd hate it if it was Marrowgar weekly since I don't have a guild that does ICC and most of the time people bail out after weekly target has been killed. I wouldn't want to be saved to a 1-boss kill in ICC when I still need a crap load of gear from that place.
